We need CBs. I understand what you are saying, but it's not a luxury position after Raymond flopped on recruits the past few seasons.

We need a lot of players, but the issue here, and the issue we may see with other recruits this cycle, is that this is still Ed’s recruiting class.

Save who CBK can get from the portal, it’s unreasonable to think that he can just flip the script of what the previous staff did over months and years of recruiting.

No way to sugar coat this. Kids respect their parents and want to follow in their footsteps. Have to believe Verge made his feelings known about where to go.
So, makes you wonder what Verge says about LSU when he’s at home and not at work.

Maybe the eldest goes to Auburn and has a bad experience and the younger, better son commits to the good guys next year!

I am however very frustrated that the Lab School has become such a feeder for the rest of the west when those kids enjoy the fruits of LSU athletics.

When you grow up on campus it's normal to want to look elsewhere. A lot of UHigh kids go to LSU, others want a different experience. I get that. What does rub me the wrong way is the attitude some of them have that they're better than LSU. There's definitely some snobbery at U High.

or hasn't been brought up his entire life to bleed purple and gold, especially when his family has been given everything they have from LSU.

Billy Cannon's son went to A&M. Jerry Stovall's son went to Baylor.

Yeah, no issue with a kid going somewhere else when ALL we see on here is that we want guys that WANT to be here.

so what y'all are sayin is we should've fired Verge for his rape coverups then his kid would be ok w LSU since his dad isn't there anymore. Good thing we didn't fire Mr. Rape Coverup and Shitty Football Schedule.

Didn't Ryan Clark's kid play for U-High?

Birds of a feather . . . .

Has anybody else's opinion of Verge Ausberry fallen so precipitously in the past 12 months?

Why keep this guy around? Pay him a nice severance with an iron-clad non-disclosure clause and tell him goodbye.

Yes Ausberry should have been fired immediately when all that stuff came out in February.

I’d love to see him fired now as a frick-you with his son going to Auburn. But of course that can’t and won’t happen. Any half-competent attorney would sue the shite out of LSU and win because “If they were firing my client over Title IX, they would have done it back in February. They are firing him now solely because his son went to Auburn.”

I can tell you 1st hand - if you truly visited each SEC campus - and toured the facilities (non-athletic) where these kids will learn & get a degree, you’d be VERY awestruck at how bad LSU’s facilities, campus transportation, extracurricular areas are drastically lacking.

My wife (LSU undergrad & law school grad) saw too, when we took our teen to visit OM, Bama, Auburn & UGA. Ask LSU boosters & they know, also. LSU is far behind many schools in the SEC —
