From what I remember... he wasn't on our radar at all. (By Our, I mean recruiting board) Then he gets an offer and commits. Rantards lose their shite! People said they heard he had an awesome camp and that's why Miles offered him. Rantards continue losing their shite saying we shouldn't offer every D. Blackmon who has a good camp. Then we found out he had an offer from Tenn because he had a good camp their too when their fans came over here asking about him and ranting and raving about him being the best athlete at their camp. Rantards lose shite to a lesser degree. Then he gets re-evaluated by rivals, ends up in the Rivals250 and Rantards can't wait to praise him and say how his talent will be lost because Miles can't coach him up.

He blew up at UTs summer camp, and turned a lot of heads in the process. Then Frank and Les got on him at LSU camp.

Actually had a great camp this summer and Les offered him on the spot.

Both correct. There was actually video of the UT camp where the coaches were raving over Tyrann. I beleive that it was the following week that he attended the LSU camp and got offered on the spot.

Frank Wilson wasnt even a coach at LSU yet, he came here during december of 2009 and Mathieu was on board summer of 2009.

UT didn't offer TM because they had questions about his size/height and if he could last in the SEC against bigger WRs. Just goes to show how confident LSU was in him after he blew up our camp being a short CB that is about 5'9. LSU almost never takes guys that small at CB. We usually recruit bigger CBs.

Didn't he basically keep St Aug in the play-off loss to Thibodaux last year with a ridiculous game? On offense, defense and the return game?

No...St Aug lost to West Monroe last year in the playoffs. However, you are correct in that he had a ridiculous game on offense, defense, and special teams.

He was the best player on the field in that game...period.

i actually think it was a 7 on 7 that he stood out at, not a camp. I could be wrong.

He will be returning punts before he is done at lsu. He is explosive with the ball in his hands. I remember in park ball, he use to line up and shake the entire defense and score. At st.aug whenever they needed him to score they would put him in at running back or receiver and get him the ball and he would make things happen.

He blew up at the UT camp, and was the only CB to stay with Jarvis Landry. That camp was his coming out party.

TM is better than Corey Webster was as a Freshman; the kid has so much potential...looks less confused than a number of our redshirt Freshmen and Sophmores
