Wait until he hits the college weight room and becomes even more physical. Good god Nuss is going to have this guy winning awards asap

This and the he might be 6’15” had me laughing pretty hard. Great future signs or comments on TV.
“Auto” is another good one, when he starts Moss’n these boys in the SEC. I guess he needs to start playing before he gets one though lol. This film is filthy.

I agree and Zachary threw slants and ran draws on big downs all night. Coaching these days is what’s wrong with the game. Absolutely HORRIFIC. Handed a cheat code from god and tries to look smart and “use other areas”.

I get he has to learn to block and TE is a little difficult to project….but look at this monster. He’s every bit of 6’7-6’8, catches the ball away from his body. I don’t care what receivers we get in the portal, inside the 10, we need to put Green and Pimpton on opposite sides and just dare the opponents to guard them with a 5’11 corner
If one or both can become versatile blockers, that’s the 12 personnel setup nightmares are made of.

I wish someone would teach him how to rush the passer

That’s been my biggest criticism of Brew this year. The QB situation is turrible but drag routes over the middle are open for Green all day. They hit maybe one or two a game.
Once Trey Dez gets into LSU’s S&C program he is going to shine. He is Arik Gilbert without the headcase.

A well thrown fade cannot be stopped. We should throw 3 straight fades to him if he’s left in single coverage.

Will be what Arik Gilbert SHOULD have been!

Don’t forget Pimpton either! How do you defend against Pimpton, Bengaltron, Sampson and Parker?
Parker and Sampson are going to be Nabers and Thomas Jr. 2.0. Then you have the guys coming in this year and Brown/ Prean. Last years class is going to be solid as frick!

I get that his height is ideal for a TE, but is there a reason the staff wants him at TE instead of receiver? I dont know much about the kid but couldn’t we use him in a Mike Evans type of role?

He played WR at Zachary. Not sure of his 40 time but he is fast. He is very athletic and has great hands. Could be a Johnny Wilson type WR but with better hands.

He won’t catch passes from Nuss most likely. We have some good tight ends already. He will probably spend a year adding weight.

Holy shite I did not realize this. I was thinking Nuss had one more year.

We need one of these.

Well glad to hear it but we heard the same thing about Pimpton’s physical gifts going into last season and he hardly saw the field.
So forgive me if I don’t get too excited until I see some on-field results.

It was pretty well known that Pimpton was extremely raw. It doesn’t surprise me that he didn’t see the field too much outside of garbage time this year. That’s why he was such a late riser as a recruit.
Green may be a little more ready coming in, and there will be more openings for playing time next season, depending on how the staff wants to use him. He will still be a freshman and he may not make an impact, but I wouldn’t say that’s a given just because of Pimpton.
