Dilfer ran the Elite 11 Quarterback Camp and knows that the top guys are mainly focused on getting into the NFL. We lost what he considers an very strong NFL quarterback because of poor quarterback development.

So did he say Kiel was making a stupider choice since Steve Beuerlein was the last ND Qb to be decent in the NFL?

we did have the #1 draft pick in the NFL Draft in the last decade.

Matt Flynn will likely get paid this offseason and has a record in the Green Bay Packers history book.

that's pro QB coaching (and nobody should argue with what GB has done developing QBs lately)

Staying close to home was a major issue in Gunner's recruitment. Outside of UGA and Bama, LSUs QBs played pretty damn good this year, but everyone wants to make the story: Gunner left because of the NC game

Yup. This thread needs to be whacked.

Who was that last QB that LM "developed"? Yeah, that's right.

The overreaction to the BCS NCG is getting stupid.

This is not just about the BCS NCG. That is missing the point. The BCS NCG was the culmination.

This is really about Les and how he handles QBs...and it covers the past three years.

Miles is paid to win games. Division titles. Conference titles. Bowls. Not please the media or develop NFL qbs. If we go 13-0 in the reg season and NEVER send another qb to the NFL I'll be happy as can be. The Irrational hatred and bitterness is so far over the top it's unbelievable.

To be fair our fricking QB coach has only been there a year. I agree that Crowton can't develop a QB.

Sad but true. After sitting at the Ark game I hoped Les would put in Lee after half-time. Same was true for the SEC CG and then again for the NCG. Did Lee get so bad all of a sudden???

Miles brought this on himself. If he handled the situation better and tried ANYTHING to stop the bleeding on Monday night this wouldn't be on tv right now.

Mettenberger can change all this

I really think the problem is a little more complicated than that. Miles needs to let go of the playcalling and leave it entirely in the hands of his OC. I just do not think he has enough of an Xs and Os expertise to be able to fix this.
