We know all that. Leavitt is at Miami and Lane pulled all the stops to keep him from going. With the euphoria of playing for the natty this visit is going to be hard for Leavitt to pass. Miami can easily show a roster next season ready for another run (something we can’t offer yet).
The plus side is Miami has 2 really promising backup QBs that would likely hit the portal if Levitt goes there.

I've wanted to drop my QB take somewhere that nobody asked for and this is a good thread for it
Best case we get Leavitt/Clark/some scholarship depth QB3
Leavitt learns the offense via VR and heals up, Clark takes QB1 snaps spring camp. QB competition come summer camp
I don't see Miami as a serious threat to take him over us unless that rumor about Lane pissing him off royally with the pursuit of Williams ends up being true. We were the only school left on his original board and the visit supposedly went well until the end. Make it happen.

I guess Lane should hire you then since you know better than him and Weiss. I’d also love to know which QB right now you think LSU should be after that would be a splash get and would have LSU contending immediately.

Leavitt only scheduled TN after the Williams news broke. Can’t blame him, but I’m also not sold on him with the injury.
If we do go the Leavitt route, we are paying for a name—we are not paying for the QB of last year, so people better temper their expectations.
