His recruitment has swung so many times. I’m just gonna wait until the fax comes in.

Yeah, after a national championship.

Think everyone loves the class, minus a cornerback and o line

No offense to Jaray Jenkins and Jontre Kirklin, but Thomas should be able to start day 1 over those guys.

He ain’t starting day one over

Boutte
Jaray Jenkins
Koy Moore
Deion Smith

So yeah, A&M is his best shot.

I would love to see him in Maroon and white. That being said, he probably won’t see the field his first year because of jimbos tight rotation and d Craig’s lack of ability to develop

Brian sees A&M as the easiest path to playing and playing early.

He’s not wrong. Smith is a better prospect and he’s in Thomas’ class. Then you return Boutte, Jenkins, Moore, Kirkland.

A&M’s WR group was probably the weakest part of their team.

People keep saying this but the posters point is still valid. D Smith only had 7 other catches his Freshman year and was the 5th WR as a sophomore before being the leading yards WR as a Junior (2nd in catches to Jeudy) and obvs setting CFB on fire this season.

Bama doesn’t “reload” every year. They have 4 and 5 stars sitting the bench, generally, for 2 years before breaking out when their time comes. They reload recruiting every year with guys that typically wait their turn.

Also I appreciate Koy’s contribution as a Freshman and I’m surprised (disappointed?) that he’s passed Tre Palmer on the depth chart. He’s played well but hasn’t really shown he’s more than the 3* WR we recruited.

I don’t know if Jenkins will break out this year (thought he would last year) but really hope so. We’re very fortunate to have Boutte because everyone else will be either unproven or playing beyond/ better than initial expectations

If he wants to put his future in the hands of Dameyune Craig and a Jimbo offense that hasn't produced a big time receiver since Kelvin Benjamin, then good luck to him.

Good point.

They run that pro style offense.

The lsu offense can feed many players

No reason to be a dick. I’m just not going to be overly excited or disappointed based on the whims of an 18 year old.

Same goes for Alabama.

They are saying Thomas is not a take for them anymore. Looks like JoJo Earle took his place.

If what you said is indeed true, why does his father favor Alabama?

The narrative that Brian Thomas is signing with the highest bidder is false. Just another Rant rumor that blows up, like Tristen Leigh is going to Fl. because of his girlfriend. Just because you read it a lot, does not make it true.

His father could indeed be influenced by the barber but that doesn't mean his father has final say. Also keep in mind Alabama has more to offer than the barber. They are the top program, legendary Coach and the word I got from my source is that they view it like a NFL program. Brian might have to wait until to his junior year to start but once he does, he will be NFL ready. I don't think it is wrong for his father to want his child to go to a program he KNOWS is on top, not might be like LSU and A&M. I don't think it wrong for his Mom to want her son to stay home. I don't think it is wrong for Brian to look at the easiest path to playing.

Brian could go to any of those schools but my source told me he was leaning A&M. The source could be wrong or Brian might change his mind. The source said he has not made up his mind. I will say there are a lot of influences around him to got to LSU and if we score 40 points a game, he should play enough. His height is also something we currently don't have at LSU, so that is a niche to early playing time right there.

Me personally, I don't care. We will have good WR's at LSU and we will sign good players to finish out this class regardless of what Brian does.

Why do you keep talking about Alabama as if they're even still an option for him? IMO, that ship has sailed unless he's willing to grey shirt? Is he willing to grey shirt?

As far as development for the NFL, LSU's track record with receivers is every bit as good as Alabama's, and at neither school, do talented receivers need to sit a year or two to get opportunities. Both schools have proven time and again that they'll play the best players at that position regardless of age.

How hard is LSU recruiting him at this point? I know people on here keep claiming Bech is going to be a tight end, but I'm not so sure about that, and I've read from people who have seen both play that Bech could be better than Thomas, anyway.
