• Deion Smith flaming out hurt him and Malik were best receivers in that class for us
• Brian Kelly kicking Dwight McGlothern off the team as part of “alignment” is biting us in the arse he’s one of the very best CBs in the country and we miss him dearly
• We need Emery, Diggs, Goodwin getting bulk of the work at RB they’ve got home run ability and are the most talented backs we have
• Kyren Lacy needs to be introduced to the bench he can’t catch the football
• Shelton Sampson, Chris Hilton, Jalen Brown need to be on the field
• Charles Turner and Miles Fraizer need to be benched go back and watch how they got blown off the ball consistently
• No Maason Smith obviously made a huge difference him and Wingo are going to be a handful for any team to deal with in the middle and will help the edge guys out too
• Perkins was so incredibly misused it’s basically malpractice
• Denver Harris and Laterrance Welch need to be on the field at CB they’re your 2 best options on the outside with Johnson injured
• insert Heard at RT move Emory to RG and your line will be much improved
• The play calling on both sides was horrible, people want to blame Daniels but Denbrock was calling this same predictable offense at Cincy with Desmond Ridder
• Jack Bech transferring stings more than it should he’s much better than Lacy
• We have to recruit better point blank period both at the HS level and in the portal, we looked small and physically over matched at several positions last night. We have to stop missing on guys like Jacoby Matthews and Desmond Ricks in the final hour because we won’t pay them as much as Bama and A&M. We have to recruit better in the portal. FSU beat us out in the portal for Coleman, Cypress, Fiske, Morlock, and Edmond there’s zero reason for them to have beat us on all 5 of those guys.
A lot of things to fix some can be fixed in season by playing different personnel and putting guys in better position but some of this is a roster issue that can only be fixed in recruiting and in todays day and age we’re going to have to open up the check book more.

Pretty spot on rational assessment of where we are.

Spot on but I didn’t think we ran Dwight off. I thought he transferred in his own accord

He missed or was super late to workouts and team meetings, and Kelly essentially told him look around

I’m not ready to cancel him just yet, the kid was a bright spot last season. I say give him another game or two.

Obviously the coaching staff thought there would be more qb designed run plays and had Perkins positioned for this. Defensive game planning has got to get better.

Agreed, if Denver Harris has lost the respect of the team for whatever reason, give him a chance to get it back on the field. I will take an unsportsmanlike penalty or two in exchange for some fire in the secondary.

Deion Smith flamed out at his next stop as well. All the talent in the world is useless if not on the field. It was a bad eval
Perhaps true of McGlothern
Emery has been a huge bust and fumbles. Diggs can't seem to get healthy. Goodwin is wishcasting. He's been a huge disappointment
Agree on Lacy, however
He is ahead of Sampson, Hilton and Brown for a reason. If they're worse than Lacy what good is putting them on the field?
Agree on Turner and Fraizer
Smith has done nothing at LSU to get that kind of respect. All we have is coach speak and heresay. Those things told us we were an elite team this year. Do you believe them?
The Perkins mess is proof our staff thinks they're smarter than they are. Sometimes the easy way is the best way.
Harris will not be here much longer. The signs are clear. Revisit about Deion Smith. Welch is down the depth chart behind the guys that played. If he's worse why play him?
Perhaps Heard would improve the line but again all we have is coach speak and heresay. Those things told us we were an elite football team. Do you believe them?
Agree. Both coordinators were bad
Bech is 3rd string at TCU. Are we conceding that TCU has a better WR/TE room than us?
I've been preaching the recruiting sucks mantra since the spring to much displeasure from this board. Is it OK to do so now? Hard to tell around here with so much sunshine blinding me. Those clouds sure came on in a hurry.

Overall, I agree that we can improve and figure out some things to do different. That would imply we have faith in the staff to do so. Last night severely makes me question that faith.
We do have to open up spending but I don't think that's the big issue(just the big excuse). The big issue is that we expect LA kids to fall at our feet when we pursue, and when that fails we don't have any elite recruiters to make up for it. Not one guy on our staff I'd go to bat for to win a major recruiting battle. Not one. That's a huge problem. We miss Polian. His recruiting supercedes the special teams which seems to be player issues not coaching.

You pretty much nailed every one of my thoughts. Quality observation. Mainly because they mirror mine. Lol

Agree with everything except the Bech comment. He is not even playing much at TCU. McGlothern is a sting!

As have I.

It's funny that those same people that told us to shut up are now the same people shitting on kelly.

Funny how that works.

I’ve tried to be optimistic but results are already starting to show. Incoming class isn’t gonna help us really either.

Gonna be alot more games like this if it continues in the near future. We’re along away from getting this roster back in top tier shape and the coaches aren’t making it any easy.

Not sure if Kelly makes any serious moves to the staff. Lotta liabilities especially on the defensive side. House doesn’t even recruit.

Tbh this class would be worse if not for Sherman Wilson and Frank and I’m not joking

I've said this over and over.

Get him for recruiting purposes, and have a different ST coach...

I’ve been downvoted consistently for echoing these comments, but the only responses have been
1. We can fill holes in the portal.
2. Trust CBK!
3. tAlignment
4. Trust staff evals

I wanted to be wrong (and still do) more than anyone or anything, but I don’t see any evidence to the contrary

Yet to hear them tell it we are mentally unstable doomsdayers.
Let the current state of the great USA be your guide. Without proactiveness doom is guaranteed. The scales of importance are far different but the end result likely the same if not corrected. Can we survive another 4 years of this and expect doom not to occur? Will it be too late then? I would rather not find out with the USA or LSU football. One entails one MUST lose their current job. The other, recognizing and correcting issues that are clear or suffer the same fate.

why are we talking about Bech? He was on the team all last year and did nothing and decided to move on.
