Feleipe Franks. Think about the string of events that never would have followed had he kept his commitment and signed with the Tigers. I guess sometimes it’s clearly best that some prayers go unanswered.

Honorable mention goes to Gunner Kiel

Could not have worked better for LSU there.

WTF

This cost us a national championship at the least. Probably would have had a chance at sec title in 08 & 10 as well

Saban did a poor job recruiting Ryan Perrilloux, Ryan was committed to Texas and Les pushed for him and got him to commit to LSU.

That is if I remember correct.

Without Ryan in 2007 we do not win the national championship.

Brock Berlin was a tough recruit to let get away I remember. I was depressed after that. He never was all there mentally though.

Berlin was Florida all the way! He was never coming here. He always envisioned himself playing QB for Steve Spurrier running the Fun N Gun. LSU was what 2-9? Dinardo got fired. Nobody knew Saban was Nick F'ing Saban yet. And LSU already had the greatest Evangel QB of all time. Side note: Being from Shreveport and having attended Evangel at one time, I had the 2001 Florida @ LSU game circled the moment Berlin signed with Florida. I couldn't wait to see Berlin and Booty go head to head in Death Valley as starting QBs for 2 powerhouse programs.

Lol I did end up seeing, with my own eyes, Berlin throw a TD pass in Tiger Stadium.

Ripple effect.

Saban wanted nothing to do with the head case so he committed to Texas. The Longhorns back off on Chase Daniel who dreamed of playing for Texas. Daniel commits to Mizzou.

Saban leaves, Les arrives, Perrilloux gets an offer, and takes it.

Texas tries to flip Daniel and offers him a scholarship. Daniel tells Texas to go pound sand.

Perrilloux gets axed for misbehavior and sets LSU back years.

My flip vote is when Matt Mauck flipped to us from the Chicago Cubs.

Without Perrilloux's performance in the 2007 SECCG we probably don't get to the NC that year.
