then we'd #2 going off the refreshed database, slightly edging out GA.

At this point, any class rating above 300 is just flat out phenomenal. I don’t care if that lands us #1 or #10 ranking. The number of quality players from this class is outstanding and will set us up for years to come

I don't really care about the ranking. Getting a class anywhere 300 is filthy and I'm guessing this will be the highest rated of all time for LSU since they've been releasing rankings.

Miami will be 6-6 next year and win 7 the year after. They won’t be making much noise outside the next few years of recruiting

Yep and that’s why we will see less developed five star recruits, heading to places where they’ll get paid a few more dollars. Don’t get me wrong, Saban, Kelly, Kirby, Harbaugh, and others will get theIr talent, but you’ll have sharks like Mario, Sark, or Jimbo, who are lackluster once these kids put the ink to the paper. Texas, Miami, and A&M aren’t properly developing these kids. Texas has not produced a single first round offensive talent in how many years now?

I dunno about "rocket", makes it sound like we were 11th before the signing.

I used the word "vaulted" when I texted my nephew.

That's the thing, this late even the biggest recruits don't move the needle much.

And that's why 3rd is the absolute highest we can end up, there is no catching Bama and not even Georgia. We could easily finish 5th-7th however.

LSU back down to 5th overall.

Texas just bought a 5-star linebacker.

We have edge guys coming in with Howard and Womack. Not to mention guys like Wiggins and Carter already on the roster

Weeks is a damn good linebacker in this class and you’ve got Tolan and Penn already on the roster. Wouldn’t hurt to bring in a guy from the portal here. But I’m also not writing off Braithwait. I think the kid can play.

Defensive tackle is a need and it’s been a miss this recruiting class. Those two decommits hurt. You’ve just got to steady the ship through the portal and get on next years guys. No use crying about it now.

ETA: I only leave out Perkins because I’m not sure where House wants him yet. Is he a Jack getting after the QB every play? Is he a Mike running the defense or is he a Sam/nickel where he can move around and cause havoc?

I think its been since 2006 so 16 years since their last offensive First Round Pick.

But that is not going to be the case after this years Draft. Robinson will be going in the first round.
