I've been saying that this kid had D-I talent since his sophomore year. Kid is the real deal. I'm from Eunice also.

I'm telling you guys right now though, my step-mom works at Eunice High School. This kid's grades are a major red flag & another thing is that this kid has big time CHARACTER ISSUES. I can't stress that enough. However, if he gets these straightened out, he has the potential to be a stud.

Congrats to Tharold though.

Oh, and it's pronounded Tha-rold. (think the Th sound that is made in the word "think" or the "Thoth" parade, and the "a" is a soft A).

If this is true about his grades and character, I am disappointed that we offered him so early in the process. This could be justifiable if he was going to be the most coveted guy in the state, but since he won't be the next Rueben Randle (at least in terms of recruiting hype), it might have been better for us to have waited a little longer before offering him.

How's Chris doing? I haven't seen him since I was tutoring him to help get his degree.

Doing well, still the DC at Dutchtown. I told him I was at Rice U. last Monday talking with a few former LSU Coaches. Will be a HC in high school one day.

I'm really happy to see the TS will be a tiger but again I was the first to say it on TD. After watching Eunice the past couple of years, there's a LB Vondray Vallare who will be a junior this year is a stud.

If you can get to Lafayette going the speed limit from Eunice in 30 minutes, I'll pitch in on the free food. I drive that way all the time. It's moreso about 40-45.

That being said, it's awesome to see someone so local going to play for LSU.

Being from Eunice myself I can attest to it being every bit 40 minutes! Tharold Simon has been kicked out of more games than any player I can remember in many a years and I'm 43! Character is not his strong point to say the least.

He has great linebacker skills. Good foot speed east and west. It will be interesting to see how he grows physically this year. I'm not sure how his grades are but I can find that out from my mother who teaches High School in Eunice.
