I have been saying for awhile that Simon was a bigtime player just needed to get his act together, from what Ive heard he has moved into a more suitable environment and is trying to get things in order.

If this is true, this is good news. Kid must know that his future is riding on the decisions he's making right now. If he is making the proper changes, then a big thumbs up for him. Not many kids get it these days...

I've always known from the first time I saw him as a freshman he was special. As his sophmore season started it was easy to see he was head and shoulders above everyone else out there on the field almost every Friday night. Last year he started developing a little more physically and was becoming a better cover coner with is long reach. Offensively though Eunice runs a wing-t and they have only one play for him and that's in a down with long distance. They mostly ally oop down the sideline and the majority of the time the other team is prepared for this with double coverage but he always managed to come down with the ball if the pass was over his shoulder where only he could catch it.

Again though, his attitude had alot to be desired last year. He would get flagged and yelled at the refs and threw his helmet on the ground on the field of play and I've seen him on several occasions yelling at a coach on the sideline after making boneheaded decisions. I think it may have finally sunk in that he has a tremendous oppurtunity in front of him and has been removed from his old environment and put in a much better situation. Lets hope he can get the grades up and the attitude level down!

Yes I heard this too from my buddy who follows Eunice Football religiously. He said his grades improved also.

When I first started watching Eunice, I couldn't believe how many good athletes they had. I couldn't believe how many of these athletes don't go to college.

Yes, Eunice goes in cycles as for the quality of classes. They sometimes hit 1 or 2 years where the talent is down but for the most part they have had really good (not always outstanding) athletes. They're all role players and well coached kids who run the wing-t to perfection. Defensively Eunice has always been stellar until they meet a spread offense with good athletes like they did in Belle Chase in the playoffs last year.

Its been awhile since Eunice has had a guy of TSs caliber. Eunice traditionally has smaller faster guys, but never really any major college prospects. Just look at the 98 team which I consider one of the best in EHS history, Kyries Hebert was really the only senior on that team to really standout in college and is in the pros today.

I went to that Belle Chasse game. Eunice could have won that game. Eunice RB played well.

Eunice was playing 4A ball last year. This year, because of reclassification, they'll be playing 3A ball in a district that will include Notre Dame & Westlake. He's gonna actually see better talent playing 3A ball. The district they've played in has been weak the last few years.

thats how it is up here, most years 3a and 2a teams are often better than alot of 4a teams. usually much better coached for sure.

Trust me, if his life is straight, this kid is a nice pickup for the Tigers. I see him as a rangy safety or as a big wideout.

He must have been hollering at Coach P or Coach "C'mon son" Fruge cause I'm pretty positive the kid don't have the balls to yell at Trosclair. He don't play that shite. I done seen him throw a player on the ground for tackling the QB in practice amongst other things.

Eunice has been the smallest 4A team in the state for years. I think they were somewhere in the 20 to 40 over area. I personally think the competition in 3A is gonna be tougher than it was in our 4A district which had to be the worst and not just in 4A but of all classifications in general.

I'd say Leesvilles district was actually worse, actually to say in all classifications is pretty dumb
