I wish that were true but it's not reality.

Exactly $0 from the endowment is allowed to be used for such purposes but sure. We're paying tens of millions for the #22 ranked recruiting class

some kids just want a change or scenery. I have no problem with it. Just because you love LSU doesn't mean a 17 year old does. It's weird to think about.. but some kids just want out of LA for college. ah well.

Lsu has definitely prioritized Simmons.

We need consistency at DL coach, period.

DL coach is always a very important recruiting position and we’ve just had a revolving door and obviously McKinley plays DT, so there you go

Still plenty of time to reel him in

Let's just pay Vince Wilfork whatever he wants and be done with it.

This is more than a dl coach.

You had a great dl coach last year and got zero dts.

Ugh. I don’t get why LA recruits would consider that underachieving program over LSU.

i know we love LSU, but theres alot of shite to not love about louisiana.

people wanting to leave shouldnt surprise anyone. people wanting to stay shouldnt surprise anyone either. its love/hate.

To be fair it was year one for that staff and they didn’t have a full year. So yes, the turnover at the DL Coach spot is a problem.

And that DL coach was here for 1 year

The DL coach before him- 1 year

It’s remarkable we’ve been able to get the DL talent we have gotten both through recruiting and the portal with the amount of turnover. We need someone in place for multiple years to build these relationships. It’s not much more complicated than that. We aren’t actively not recruiting DTs.

I live in Texas and I can promise you Austin isn’t what it use to be. Is the overall politics better in TX yes but Austin itself has a down arrow.

I can't wait for Texas to join the SEC so we can skull drag them. They've earned a good arse kicking for all the shite talking their coaching staff has been doing.

Even the great Crown gets freaking down votes for posting facts. Unbelievable.

The boy is gonna do what he do.

Now Texan$ are gloating over our melt.

I’m not gonna melt because of something out of my control but if he’s all about the money he isn’t on the path. The kid will be tiger bait if this f’tard’s prediction is true.

I would bet they’re offering the kid and his family the deal they were gonna give Simmons and it seems like they’re finding it hard to pass up.

Simmons is a way better prospect than McKinley. Whoever wins that battle will be considered the winner between the two schools this cycle and thats LSU.

McKinley hasnt been seriously considering LSU for a while. I think the dude is gonna be a bust. He doesnt love football. Will be a classic Texas situation to where they pay big $$$ and wonder why he's playing like he doesnt give a damn. The recruiting services cant help themselves based on a kids measurables and "potential". Potential doesnt mean jack if the kid isnt desperate to win every snap. The Texas kids show up to campus thinking their work is done and they're treated like it and Texas wonders why they lose to teams like Kansas.
