As long as Saban is alive and still coaching at Bama, he will get 90% of whoever he wants, this is not shocking, hate to say this but, he can basically tell them that within the 3-4 years they enrolled at Bama, they will win at least one natty, it sucks but it's true

Lol Terrible Arnold. Guy sounds like a terror.

bc the rb that recently committed is likely to flip to oklahoma so they will have a spot

My bad, auto correct.

This would be their 27th player in this class, after 26 last year, and 29 the year before that...how do they get away with this?

I figured brother. Made me laugh though so not a terrible one.

yep, an elephant fan tried to convince us that it was all on the up and up, but backtracked quickly regarding the 'voluntary withdrawal replacement scholarships' part.

That is NOT why they go to Bama. Bama is paying them cash. Hundreds of thousands of dollars each for the producers.

You guys just need to accept that Bama will find ways to get around every rule in the book as long as Saban is there. Nobody will do anything to stop them.

GOAT and his recruiting pitch is more GOAT.

I want LSU to do the same!! That's all I want.
I want...
- compliance to identify loopholes or gray areas, since they supposedly know them better than any other entity
- compliance to provide a risk matrix per recruit per loophole/gray are. The acceptable risk level is based on the benefits the recruit provides.
- I want compliance to steer "random" testing away from studs and starters on to #3 depth and practice squads.
- I want compliance to educate our players better (ref: Fulton- he thought an NCAA test was for weed and tried to tamper (maybe); it was only for PEDs)

It's about much more than just the weed thing. LOL. That might play a small role, but there are much bigger issues that Bama gets around that make a bigger impact.

Saban will coach at bama until he dies. He would be bored without it. He hates the media so he won’t go into broadcasting. Face it. They’ll be who they are for at least 10-15 more years.

Alabama fans spew this bs that they have them grey shirt. So they just have about 25 4 star+ grey shirts. Idk it’s weird

here's what i can't understand about what they do and how they do it.
Bama has only signed under 25 once in the last 5 years
2016 - 24 enrolled, 1 signee went juco (25 slots used)
2017 - 29 enrolled (i have no idea how)
2018 - 21 enrolled, 1 signee goes juco
2019 - 27 enrolled, 2 transfer into the program
2020 - 25 enrolled, 2 transfer into the program
2021 - 14 enrolled, 11 signed , 1 committed
I can't make sense of the math

For the record, the reason bama can take >25 guys is two-fold: (1) greyshirts, and (2) you are allowed to count early enrollees as part of the previous class, assuming that the previous class had fewer than 25 "official" signees. You can actually sign >25 in consecutive years using the back-count rule, so long as the "official" number for each given year is not higher than 25.
So say that in year 1, bama has 25 signees, including 2 greyshirts. In year 2, bama has 26 signees, including 2 greyshirts and 9 early enrollees. That means that they can sign up to 28 guys in year 3, assuming that there are at least 3 early enrollees (because the original "official" number for year 1 is 23 (25 minus 2 greyshirts). That means that 2 of the early enrollees in year 2 can be back-counted, dropping their "official" year 2 number to 22 (26 minus 2 greyshirts minus 2 back-counted early enrollees). Thus, they can back-count 3 guys from the year 3 class, putting the "official" year 3 total at 25.)

I assume that part of it is greyshirts. Backcounting (which bama and UGA take advantage of to a greater extent than any other school) + greyshirts (which bama takes advantage of to a greater extent than any other school)

So a pretty good solution would be to stop allowing early enrollees to back count
