If they were from L.A., I could understand, but when you look at both on paper, LSU >> UCLA in every aspect of CFB. Maybe I just have P&G blinders on.

Not saying either are scared of competition, but choosing UCLA is an easier path to playing time.

There will undoubtedly be more competition on LSU's roster. I don't see where that's up for debate.

This. UCLA has been doing well the last couple of years, Neuheisel even had a couple of solid classes with some steals from USCw.

To each his own. L.A. is one of the last places on earth that I would want to live. The people of Baton Rouge > The people of L.A.

There are small pieces of L.A. that are great but it generally sucks unless you are very wealthy. Trust me.

I dig UCLA but the football program and fanbase is a joke.

Sure, for you, but if you're counting on recruits to think that you're gonna be disappointed way more often than not.

You have to realize that if a player grew up in a college town where people just like going to the games for the experience, then he'll value different things about college. Maybe Goodman/Willis would rather play in front of all of their friends and family. It's a lot easier for that to happen at UCLA. Maybe they want to have an academic degree to fall back on, and in that regard UCLA outshines LSU. Not all college football programs and communities that support them are national championship or bust.

My only thing was that Willis seemed stoked about LSU. The reasons to go to LSU are very different from the reasons to go to UCLA. He's not going to be fulfilled there if he expects it to come close to the LSU experience.
