Tacketts coach was on the Fletcher show and said he really liked Wisky that they flew them up there for a game a treated them like kings and said LSU had a lot of work to do. Didnt sound encouraging.

The Curtis family doesn’t need anyone to fly them anywhere.

Tackett’s grandfather owned a chain of successful grocery stores in half a dozen Louisiana towns.

Wisconsin and other B10 schools have done a great job recruiting him early on which is why you see so much interest there. Tackett mentioned relationship building is huge with him and those schools have done the best job early on so his attention has mostly been there.

Kelly and staff are really going to have to blow things away for us to get back in it here. Not saying it's impossible but he is working against a few years of schools like Wisconsin working Tackett the right way. I wouldnt say Tackett is sold on leaving the state regardless but he certainly has no issue
kinda crazy to hear that on relationship alone, a country boy from Louisiana has that much interest in a frigid place all the way up in Wisconsin. I mean this ain't a 3 star recruit, this is a top 100 kid. Wisconsin is a good place for defensive players, OL, and RBs so I can see why on that front too.

Anyway, I want the guys that want to be at LSU. LSU survived losing Tillery to Notre Dame, and we've poached kids from up north (Pocic, Spencer Ware, Kiner just recently, etc).

Yes because that's most likely where people got that shite from in the first place. I have no idea who that guy is nor do I care. One thing I do know is I havent read anywhere where Tackett is trending to LSU.

This kind of post is very frustrating.
Wisconsin has an excellent academic reputation, a great football history and is a really fun place to spend four undergraduate years.
You display aggressive ignorance when you post things like this.
Whisky has a lot to sell, and it was aggressively pursuing Tackett when LSU was not.
Have you ever been outside the State of La. .

Dude there no competition between Whisky and LSU when it comes to L.B. development. SEC football vs Big 10, come on your fooling urself. Better education for sure, but I think this kid and his family having bigger football aspirations then just college.
If that’s the facts he would be a fool to leave the State because Whisky been up his as….longer.

“Bigger aspirations” than merely going to college and getting an education?
Wow, you must be the most ambitious person in your whole trailer park!

for sure? Kinda depends on your major. Maybe Tackett is an internal auditor in the body of a middle LB.

All very true, would be a fun place to go to college. It’s also 11* tonight with 2 inches of snow in the next day or two. He may very well end up north, but that weather is a whole nother beast when it comes to putting pen to paper. I have zero inside info, but if I had to place a bet it’s that he ends up south of Ohio for college.

You're pretty stupid my guy. Look at Wisconsin's yearly recruiting rankings and tell me I'm wrong. It has a great atmosphere, loyal fanbase, nice campus and all that, but that's student shite. You won't catch a 5 star WR or QB going up there until they change their philosophy. Wisconsin has 25 4+ stars they've signed over the last decade, with two 5 stars and both being up north offensive tackles. Wisconsin had exactly 3 southern 4 stars with 2 being a few spots away from a 3 star. They have a total of 3 top 100 recruits in 10 years, all from up north. They've had all that you mentioned, and I've mentioned and still can't get kids up there. I knew this logically beforehand but looked up the numbers to show why this caught me off guard like it did. Tackett committing to Wisconsin would be damn near a unicorn for them.

I could easily see kids up north going up there, but a kid down here when he has so many SEC options on top of Ohio St and other premiere programs being an option? It was just kinda odd seeing that.

ETA: I didn't initially attack your arrogant post because it's more ignorant that you posted that than me thinking a got damn top 100 football player from Louisiana would want to go to Wisconsin. I said what i said because it doesn't fricking happen you nitwit. This isn’t your little academic arse we're talking million dollar business decisions.
