247 has a thread about him with a bunch of upvotes. Guess it’s positive news.

Wisconsin leads with Michigan a close second. He’s not going to LSU per folks close to the situation....

Wisconsin and Michigan aren't beating out LSU for a local kid, especially a high priority one.

Kid would be a stud in the big 10 if he winds up there. He will shine with his athletic ability.

Or he could be big time in ACC .
OrMAC.
Or the Ivies.
Or he could play in the SEC, in the toughest conference and prepare for the bigs.
Kid is very good.

Clean, has the train left the station or does LSU have a punchers chance to change this kid's mind ? Unbelievable how the prior coaching staff totally dropped the ball, and neglected a kid that the RB has been raving about for over a year

I would imagine once House officially joins the staff this could change for the better.

Guy on 247 who knows that family well said just yesterday if Tackett picked today it would be Wisconsin. We are way way behind. Not saying it's impossible but we have a huge uphill battle here. He also said he wants to make a decision before his senior year starts, so we don't have a ton of time. Tackett didn't grow up a huge LSU fan or anything. He pays attention to the schools who pay him attention and we simply didn't under O's watch.

Previous staff all but ignored him compared to the other schools he likes. Said Wisconsin showed way more love for a Top 50 overall kid in LA over us. He even mentioned Blake Baker only texted/called him twice his entire time here.

I would have to believe that a DC with an NFL pedigree as LB'ers coach would be attractive to him.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but he doesn't sign for another 11 months. A lot can happen between now and then. We'll see over the next 7 months what the new staff thinks of him.

If this is true that's somewhere between puzzling and infuriating

Tackett is a great kid. He is all about the football. Tough,Humble he is a joy to watch.

Just some insight. LSU under O completely dropped the ball, he was rarely contacted compared to everyone else.

He’s not an attention seeker BUT that helps him see who views him as a priority. He has 44 offers and he uses that to help separate schools.

He had several schools watch his games weekly. They flew in from Wisconsin OU etc.

Wisconsin has come 5 times from Madison. Watched regular season game, semi final and championship game. On Monday Head Coach Paul Chryst and LB coach flew to Many. They are coming back this Monday.

The DC for Ohio State made his first trip to Many and gave out his first offer(Tackett had already developed relationship with him at Oklahoma State).

Do you get the picture teams have poured into that kid and his home state team can’t get in car and drive up I-49.

The family holds nothing against this new staff BUT they have an uphill battle thanks to O.

Monday schools that will be at Many will be
Georgia
Michigan
Wisconsin

That’s both infuriating and inexcusable. Wasn’t Baker supposed to be a good recruiter?

If Polian is half the talent evaluator his father was, then this staff should be all over talented kids like Tackett, regardless of star rating.
