Don’t rule out USC and Lincoln Riley. OU was up in top schools because of the old OU LB coach that is now at USC.
Riley and his coaches have done a great job as well.

They cried when LSU didn’t recruit the RB Carter that ended up at McNeese. LSU won’t win or loose championships due to Jess Curtis opinion. Some kids and coaches you will never make happy. Stick the kids that want to come, they won’t just transfer out when times get tuff.

Your beef is with Coach Curtis take it up with him keyboard warrior.
You know nothing about the kid. That’s one of the biggest turn offs about the old LSU under O. Players quitting/opting out mid year much less bowl games.
You want have to worry about that with him.
I know the family and coach Curtis really like coach Hankton and coach Sloan.
Coach Hankton has recruited while he was at Georgia

The whole situation is strange to me. For a family that supposedly loves LSU, why wouldn't he be open to the new staff’s message? His attitude comes off as a little pretentious from afar.

That is incorrect, I have hated Many, many, many years before Jess Curtis arrived. If anything he made you respectable which I thought was impossible.

Where are you getting this? He's not against LSUs new staff at all. He hated O and the culture of previous staff.
Kelly literally just got done assembling his staff, give it time to reestablish a relationship. Yes it's an uphill battle but it's not totally over yet. Coach O just put us way behind.

I don’t think anyone has anything against Tackett or doubts he’s a good kid. It’s pretty obvious everyone in his ear is spewing bullshite about how he should be recruited and what LSU is doing wrong vs what everyone else is doing right. Every time he’s mentioned on this board, 10 people from Many hop in to talk about how terrible of a job LSU is doing. That’s the issue with the kid, not anything personal towards him. I can’t imagine how involved Jess is going to be once Tackett gets to a campus. If his idea of how you recruit a kid is to live at Many Highschool, how does the think the player needs to be treated once he’s on campus?

That’s the deal, the whole reason I commented on this topic. I bet it’s all bullshite, If you read the posts this guys is speaking for the family. It all smells to me. Some dude trying to drum up drama, which will only reflect poorly on the kid and the family. I believe it’s all a false narrative. But that doesn't mean we cant have fun with this Many fan that has made it his job to try to bend LSU’s staff over a barrel on some message board that none of the staff pays any attention too. It’s comical and just silly.

Just assessing the situation from a distance. I don’t pretend to know all of the facts with this kid’s recruitment, but people on this board are making he and his family look bad, whether that’s their intent or not. I do know that if this new staff values him as a player, they will full court press him. I just don’t get why some are acting like he’s a generational talent.

It sounds like that’s what the staff was doing in the first place considering neither he nor his family thinks LSU is “dropping the ball” on his recruitment.

We've got 2 elite linebackers in the state next year (even having 1 is rare) and its highly unlikely we get Ausberry, so it would suck pretty bad to lose both him and Curtis OOS basically.
Curtis has been a big time playmaker for a few years now. He'll probably be a beast wherever he ends up. On top of all that, Many has a likely 5 star type kid in 2024 class which couldn't hurt to get Curtis here to help with that.

Both will likely have LSU offers & will be recruited. If they choose other universities, then we will have to replace them with other recruits that value LSU.

There was an issue between Coach Curtis and O from what I was told. Curtis tried bullying O into offering Tackett before they were ready. Coach Curtis methods were pretty childish in this situation
