Acadiana Rams running back Dashun Lightfoot is really good. Last Friday game against Zachary, Lightfoot had 270 yards rushing, 5 TDS and had a 60+ yard TD run called back. He limped off the field hurting 4 or 5 times and was limping on his last TD run. He played QB for a few plays when regular QB DeBetta was shaken up and had to go out. He even played safety late in 4th quarter. Total for 2 games are 495 yards rushing with 9 TDS. Remarkably he only has scholarship offer from Lamar. Someone needs to look at this kid again

Acadiana alum - all of our backs put those numbers up because we run the veer. It’s unique and defenses have trouble with the rb hitting the hole so quick. If he were special (think Alley Broussard) he’d be offered by everyone. No offense to him. What class is he?

Also an Acadiana Alum (Class of 1980, I'm old). Nearly 500 yards and 9 TDs for one player in the first two games is not the norm, even for a Veer offense, and certainly not for Acadiana. And those were against Central and Zachary.

He is averaging 9.6 YPC, as well.

He is a senior, listed as 5'10", 197lbs. That may be what has held back some of the offers so far.

He needs to go to the camps where the coaches can evaluate him in person. We currently have stud RB’s committed and i trust the current staff’s evaluations much better than previous. That doesn’t mean they won’t miss on a guy.
All you can do is make them aware of him.
