BTW, Malachi Dupre was 6-3 with a vertical of well over 40-inches. Didn’t translate to much, did it?

Dupre wasn't really that fast though, I mean he wasn't slow. His problem was hands first and foremost and basically to put it bluntly might as well of played like a 5'10, 160 pound receiver.

Dupre had all the tools, but hated contact/being physical. There was no way he was going to do what was needed to be a top LSU receiver.

Agree. Add that with his mind being on other ventures(remember the music industry family member) and no real desire to improve. He thought he was good enough on talent alone. There's not many Randy Moss' running around.

I mean he’s not slow by any means. He runs away from people when he’s got the ball. He’s a nasty blocker as well. I think he’ll end up with an lsu offer.

Yes, he’s offense

But if he was on defense, it would be at inside linebacker, not DB (imo)

His ability to adjust to the ball in traffic is elite. Huge red zone threat potential. Would be surprised if he doesnt get an LSU offer.

I expect he will get an "offer" just like guys like Joel Williams and Bud Clark had "offers" this year. I think for him to be able to commit on that offer LSU is gonna have to miss out on a some guys. Again nothing against him. I fully expect he will end up at a power 5 team. I just don't expect it to be LSU. He has the academics and never heard of any character issues so there is a reason they haven't offered yet. That reason is his speed/separation. If he camps at LSU and shows speed and an ability to separate then maybe they take him. Also I expect LSU's class to be really special this year with a max of 5 WR. I have a hard time believing he makes it in. Maybe in other years.

Bruh, stick to what you know about in Alabama or wherever you’re from

Lol. Typical TD response. It's just an opinion regardless of where I live. Yes I'm from Alabama, 30 minutes from Auburn originally. But I've been an LSU fan my whole life. Just because we disagree on a guy or even if it was on every guy doesn't mean we can't both be LSU fans or that one of us needs to stick to something else. You started the topic which means you opened it for conversation. I haven't disrespected you or the kid in any way. I just don't think he is LSU caliber especially this year coming off a NC. Obviously I'm not the only one that thinks that or he would already have an offer. I never said he couldn't convince the coaches that he is LSU caliber. I think he was invited to camp at LSU in a couple weeks so it will be the perfect chance. I said earlier he looks great at most aspects like going to get the ball and his hands and physicality. I'm not the first or only person to say it looks like he doesn't separate well (Shea Dixon said that after the 7-on-7 at St. James). Again I'll be more than happy if he proves me wrong. If I'd known my opinion would hurt your feelings so much I wouldn't have commented. My mistake for thinking it was just a conversation topic. Good thing is neither of our opinions matter and I trust the staff a lot more than anybody on TigerDroppings.

Clean, do you know the kid? I'm just curious if he is married to the idea of playing WR. Seems like he could be a good safety or possibly OLB if he fills out enough.

He definitely looks strong and tough, I just don't think he moves particularly well based on the film in the OP. He just seems kind of stiff.

Keep in mind that I know nothing so I could be completely wrong about everything.

I think he is a WR all day. He’s a playmaker with the ball in his hands.

It's a shame things never worked out for the slower Jarvis Landry...

Landry wasn't slow. He had a pulled hamstring at the combine. He ran a 4.51 at pro day. It also cost him some draft spots and he's incredibly gifted in every other aspect, primarily quickness and agility, to go along with freakishly good hands, route running, work ethic, and physicality. Basically he does every other thing it takes to be a good WR exceptionally well and still has average speed. To say this guy moves anything similarly to Landry would be ridiculous. Again, there will always be some exceptions, and this guy could very well be one. But using one example is not a very supporting argument when the league is made up of guys running 4.5 or less. For instance Jeff saturday was an all-pro center and many said he was only actually about 6'0-6'1. But you don't see teams going out drafting 6'1 centers because one guy could do it. Because usually the one guy has something different going for him, like saturday having long arms and big hands for his size, or landry having big hands and freakish agility.

I’ll put it this way

STM is something like 25-5 in hoops and in the same district with Westgate and Carencro, and he has led them in points before.

They’ve beaten Breaux Bridge and North Central, too.

That’s two of Louisiana’s best teams regardless of class. Defending 4A and 1A state champs

Bech is good, but isn't close to the talent Hilton an Thomas are or as athletic.

Hilton runs solid routes, blocks well, can line up inside and out, run any route you want him to, and has athleticism better than anyone you place in front of him.

His numbers next season at Zachary are going to be stupid with a pure passer finally available in Eli Holstein. Video game numbers.

You are obviously from Zachary

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Your basketball team is nice. I’ve seen them twice
