Maybe with this CB. But I doubt Raymond had much to do with convincing 3 of the top 5 portal players to come to LSU along with most of the other starting level talent LSU got in the portal and keeping the best DL recruiting haul in quite some time.

Save any uncertainty & worry for 12-2-26. Worrying now won't prevent any disappointment from the future, but it'll rob today of it's positivity.

Being in the lead now is a "good feeling" but means squat about where the prospect will end up. And what is really ridiculous are the "Top 5 teams" list for a prospect. A LOT of the time, the team that signs the player wasn't even in his top 5 for most of his recruitment. I'll stick with my assessment...irrelevant.

I mean, nothing is final until the kids sign somewhere on December 2nd later this year. So, I guess it's irrelevant getting a commit from a Chambliss clone in Peyton Houston...or a commit from the #1 EDGE in Jaiden Bryant...or a potential commit from the #1 CB in Joshua Dobson??? None have signed yet, so it must mean squat, so it's probably irrelevant to even pay attention to recruiting or the recruiting board until the evening of early Sign Day, right?
Or...maybe since bags are similar, relationships still matter. Raymond, Lucas and Kiffin are currently winning the (wallets &) minds of these 3 top talents. That feels good and I like the odds for where they might sign, despite no guarantees. LSU might even be the one who does the $wooping in at the last second and flips, say, the #1 WR Easton Royal.
