A lot of people on this board said Sopsher was extremely overrated but felt Devonta would turn into an elite OLB.

Sopsher had a ton of red flags.

i'm of the belief that some players will thrive in the right environment, crash and burn in others. The very best will succeed almost anywhere, but most kids need to be in the right situation to be their best.

This place melted hard when he committed to Bama

We did melt.

Credit to the few posters at the time that said Sopsher was lazy AF and not worth the fight.

I completely forgot about this dude. Which usually happens when a player goes out of state.

Didn’t he have a rep for being lazy?

19- freshman
20- soph
21- jr
22-sr
So he could be 4th yr sr, or even a 4th yr sophomore if he used his RS and Covid year. It’s crazy to think that any game can have 24/25 year old seniors playing against 17/18 year old freshmen

I'm sure he is much happier playing for The Bears of Southwest Mississippi Community College, than The Crimson Tide of Alabama.

I hope he saved all that money Bama and USC paid him, because he is not going to play pro ball for anyone.

You mean to tell me this board predicted a bama recruit to be a bust and an lsu recruit to be solid to good?

No way!

How can he possibly be eligible to enroll in a JUCO?

Writing sample qualified him for relegation.
