Man oh man. Word from some of the other sites are that his stock is falling. Slow 40. Was just ok during his workouts today. Was about 50/50 in his 1 vs 1 segments. Said he isn’t looking like a can’t miss prospect at all. Many are questioning his motor and work ethic. Said he takes plays off. He can be dominant when he gives max effort but that doesn’t happen regularly. But stock is definitely falling.

You can tell all of this from his film. I wasn't high on him at all.

His ranking has been slowly falling for a while

Some close to the situation have hinted at this

lol at he being labeled the can't miss prospect in the state when the can't miss prospects are already committed to us in Stingley and Kardell.
Still want him to be a Tiger tho

I think you could put Emery in the can’t miss prospect of LA. But word is he’s rethinking...

Not surprised to get these reports on Sopsher.
Work ethic and motor are concerns.

This was whispered all last fall among coaches from teams they played

Amite was 9-0 last year going into week 10 and had to play a mediocre St Thomas team. Sophser was basically worn out all night that night by a freshman o-lineman from STA. He plays lazy and to his competition. He has all the tools but the work ethic and desire are definitely a concern.

I said last week that while I want him in the class, I wouldn't be as shaken as I have been in the past losing guys to Bama. It was because of all the reasons stated above, he's never REALLY impressed me, I don't see the reasoning behind his ranking.

Have heard Bama is pushing hard for Tuitele and Ika. They land those two, and it'll be interesting to see if they back off on Sopsher. He's really not helping himself with his performance this weekend.

He takes plays off, but he’s never really been pushed to play with a high motor or be in great shape. He will get that in college. He does posses rare ability for someone that size that can’t be taught. Someone just has to get it out of him.

This has been mentioned quite a bit recently. Would still love to have him in this class, kid just needs to try more.

So Chris Davenport 2.0?

A huge DL from Walker HS in N.O. went to LSU was all everything about 10 years ago. 5 star didn't live up to anything close to his billing. His initials were AJ.

And this is why he is now leaning towards LSU. He realizes that having the Head Coach as his primary teacher will benefit him at the next level. He needs someone to motivate him and coach O is that type of guy!
