This is Michael turner in the pick playing DB. I thought he signed as a receiver. He could just be doing it for the drill, but I wanted to see if anyone else has some insight on this

I know he was recruited to be WR. But man he needs to put on a solid 60 lbs.

He played at Curtis not a school putting out WR talent.. he could flip over cause the learning curve will probably hold him back..but DB will get him on the field faster... probably reason we not grabbing transfer now

He’s playing the “fast” position. Just put him somewhere to go fast. Going to be a good special teams guy.

He played DB at Curtis. It wouldn't be foreign to him.

The NFL has a premium on tall cornerbacks with elite speed. I don’t know much about Turner other than that he is tall, lean and very fast. LSU appears to have more talent at wr than db, so it’s certainly reasonable to think he sees the field faster at db than wr.

But yes, I wouldnt conclude just from this picture that he has moved positions. They already moved Khai Pran to db so it seems doubtful they move Turner. Numbers iare not a problem in the defensive backfield like it is at def tackle. LSU has plenty of bodies at safety and cornerback.

I’ve always thought he made more sense at DB

I never saw him as an LSU level WR

So skinny.

Has all the skills to be a guy if he bulks up.

He looks crazy little to try and go up against SEC receivers. I really hope this isn't plan A.

So was Rashard Robinson

If you can run and cover you can run and cover. Add ball skills and there’s room for a player like that any day. He doesn’t have to be the most physical at that position

No. Robinson was a physical specimen at corner. He was not a puny DB by any means.

Cordale Flott weighed 175 at the combine.

Was a top 100 pick (85).

Was NY Giants CB3 as a rookie, playing 519 defensive snaps.

Dude, Rashard was like 160-170lbs when he came to LSU.

It does seem like they are targeting long, super lean corners so far early in BK’s tenure. The long part isn’t out of the ordinary but I wonder if the relative scrawniness is something they specifically want to work with and mold, or if it’s just random with the players that have been available in state.

Turner 6-1 170 too small to play in the SEC , Tyrann Mathieu 5-9 175. To be honest I thought he was too small when he committed, I learned a lesson there.
