80 according to Shea Dixon meaning there’s room for 5 more transfers/high school signees.

MHOO - Hope Kimo stays to complete. He has potential to become a contributor

Shea has said he wouldn’t be surprised if more Upper classmen OL who have been passed on the depth chart hit the portal. But he didn’t give any names, I feel like those 2 fit the description though

My bad, I removed that part because that’s just pure speculation at this point

I'm thinking it's less than 80. Closer to 75 when you count those transferring out of the program.

I looked over our roster a few days ago and that's close to where I'm at - 75 ish.

I bet we have 8-10 spots available for both 2023 signees and additional incoming transfers.

wasn't kimo's family members on this board saying he wanted to be developed? i doubt he would leave after his redshirt freshman year

Lot's of room but still need to be selective and we still have the Spring portal period so who knows how many we end up needing..

It's definitely a marathon situation not a sprint. I hope we aren't blindsided at the last minute.

Yea I can definitely see some attrition on the OL. They are bringing in more talented guys

Poly was posting back in the spring or summer and it sounded like there might have been some issues with the new staff and Kimo. I kept trying to get more information from him, but he was being pretty cryptic and his posts would get whacked.

There are always issues when your kid doesn’t play

Honestly, that's exactly how I took his posts as well. Seemed like grumbling about the depth chart and also staff communication (like Kelly hadn't even spoken with Kimo yet, as if every player is entitled to a one on one sit down with the coach).

My point in bringing it up is that if the family is grumbling, there's a chance that trickles down to the player, or is even coming from the player, himself.

Currently it is 77, 47 on scholarship left from the 2022 team plus 25 HS signees plus 7 Portal signees.

Going into the Bowl game it was 50 scholarship players (per Bryan Lazare's reporting) that could come back in spring 2023 ball. Boutte, Tolan and Mike Jones have since left so that leaves 77. If Davis is coming back, that would bring it back to 78.

2 LBs, a corner, edge rusher and interior OL/C. Do it.

Honestly Kardell Thomas can leave and find playing time elsewhere. He stayed longer than I expected TBH. I feel good about our offensive line for the first time since 2019.

Do we have enough at safety? Not many upperclassmen, but I hope Sage gets moved to free
