I mean if we win a Natty and still lose 2 of the top 3 in state recruits to Alabama then what else can you do to appeal to these groupies and knock the hearts out of their eyes for Saban?

"I wanna do my own thing, write my own story so I'm gonna go to Alabama like all the other 5 stars did and stand out there!" yeah you're doing something original.

Goddamnit I can’t believe we’re going to lose a 5* instate player that’s related to a coach to Bama the fricking year after winning the national title. This shite is infuriating

Dude chill. Getting infuriated over unsubstantiated message board talk is not a great way to go through life.

Another Louisiana kid with close family ties to the LSU Football Program. Having cousins like LSU legends Kevin and Trev Faulk, have got to influence Ryan's decision at least hopefully. While the kid has to do what's best for him, I can't imagine him leaving Louisiana. Also, you gotta believe that with Kevin Faulk on staff, Ryan wants to play for him. However, I do know for a fact that Ryan's relationship with Alabama and Nick Saban is very strong. I don't think that kids of Ryan's caliber trust Bo Pellini enough at this time to commit to LSU sadly. I lack confidence in LSU's chances of signing him. It would really suck to see two 5 stars from Louisiana head to Tuscaloosa. Coach O needs to make a strong push in the next couple days for LSU to have a shot.

Not start the following year losing to two terrible teams creating doubt about sustainability while Alabama continually reloads and is a top program every year.

There's really nothing you can create doubt about in a recruit's mind regarding Alabama except maybe Saban retiring soon? They lose coordinators on both sides of the ball and it usually doesn't really matter.

I don’t know for certain that he is gone, but I do know we have not been told that he’s committed at this point, and guys usually commit to the coaches before they announce. So we’ll see, but I’m not getting a great vibe here with all the work Bama has been putting in on him and his Mom lately.

O too busy with the broads at the L and not the croots

ETA: he’s content with his one Natty. Proved it with the Pelini hire.

Would be a tough loss for sure.

Cant make a kid come to LSU if he doesn’t want to though.

You’re right, you can’t. But he’s letting the fence open up again. Your two top priorities day 1 were Smith and Ryan

I thought last years mantra was LSU was going to start winning these battles again. More winning. How does the national champion let a player like this get away? Who’s to blame. LSU will be stuck in 3rd or 4th place in the SEC for a while

Who knows what he is going to do but Saban isn't going to be at Bama for 4 more years.
