NIL is far and away the biggest thing to blame. It's all about public payments now. No loyalty.

There is no fence anywhere in any state. If somebody wants to pay for a player they will get them.High School QBs are going to get paid huge sums to come to certain schools this is turning into an auction for players.I guess we best focus on area of needs an raise money for that every single year and pay players cause that is recruiting now pay your top tier 4 an 5 stars and then build an recruit the old fashion way your 3 stars an some 4 stars

You can thank Coach O for that. I will be shocked if the same amount of players go out of state in 2023. Coach O all but destroyed LSU's advantage and BK is here to fix it.

In 2017, O lost a bunch of guys head to head to Saban that he had been recruiting through the coaching change. We were also in a much better position to bounce back coming off a decent interim season. Then from 2018-2020, O won most of the battles for the best players in the state. Say what you will, but it’s the truth.

Were you really expecting Kelly to fix it all in two months and do better than O when he had a head start and no full rebuild necessary? Judge off what happens next year and going forward.

one kid. How many kids did we sign the last three classes just from Lafayette lol

the melts are priceless lol. Pirate king leading the charge. I remember him melting about aranda (coach of the year) and Woodward fricked up so bad mark stoops would be here. It’s funny how wrong he always is

We have had a fired coach since October and a team that seemed to be on the brink of disarray. It has not been too attractive to recruits.

Also while we were trying to figure out who would coach, other teams were focusing on NIL and recruiting.

Transition classes are nearly impossible to impress with as a new HC. There’s such limited time with prospects and relationships aren’t built in recruiting in 30 days typically. The truest measurement for how a HC will recruit is their bump class. I think LSU will do just fine in 2023 recruiting under BK. Florida isn’t having the most promising day with Napier either, but I’m impressed with the direction of the 2023 class. I think that’s what y’all should be looking towards as well.

Still in mourning aren’t you? He’s the reason our program is in the dumpster, and you are still knighting for him.

You are consistent.

Dumber than a bag of rocks, but consistent.

Teams will be built by using unregulated free agency....known as the transfer portal.

If you think about it, it is better to get a TP player than high school....after the player transfers once, he then has limitations.

Combination of coaching changes and NIL.

People forget these position coaches are in contact years in advanced, sometimes even before high school.

You want to put the fence back up quicker? Win more games.

exactly. It’s hilarious watching pirate queef and his ilk blame a coach that’s been here 3 months and a staff recently put together. The DC is just now getting to Baton Rouge lol. It’s all their fault of course. Yet king was nowhere to be found when Kelly was getting quality starters from the portal. I love it lol

you do realize that when you turn over the entire coaching staff that there are going to be growing pains and, generally, a poor recruiting cycle. When Saban left us for Miami, we only signed 13 players and the 14th ranked class, heavily boosted by a surprise flip from Perrilloux on NSD. The only reason you didn't see similar things when Miles was fired was because Orgeron kept almost the entire staff

Florida only has 16 commits right now and the 20th ranked class, and I don't see people wondering why
