I love some johnsonville brats, but les needs a big time hire to replace Cooper. Hopefully it's already ironed out and waiting to go official.

They need some that can smoke a good brisket. A high school kid can do brats

The key is boiling them in a nice lager first.

Cooper was able to evaluate all his DBs at camp and lock them down there. We need someone who can at least do that or we're going even further backwards into the "just have Frank do it" recruiting method while the other assistants just take long vacations.

I bet ensminger fricks up the damn brats. Either burns them or undercooks them. He prolly brings ice and cheese dip.

Now studrawa on the other. I bet that cat is the king of brats.

thats part of the concern I have with cooper's recruiting. he has to see these guys at camp and for the most part it is only la. guys at camp. lots of oos guys are never coming to camp. we need someone who can review the tape and make more oos offers. can anyone name ONE top ten oos db that cooper went after hard until signing day?

Jalen Collins. Does Sam Gibson count? We went after Tracy Howard, but cut ties once we saw he wasn't coming here. How about Jalen Mill?

my only complaint would be not helping land anyone else the rest of the year. The work he did with the camp commits was amazing.

Cooper's best trait recruiting wise was certainly his talent evaluation.

Why would he have to when he's had 4-5 stud DB's committed by the end of the summer every year?

I know nothing of his reputation, but just going off his Rivals page, he pulled 2 4 stars this year (Alonzo Moore and a DB from Arizona), and he pulled an unranked kid last year in his first year at Nebraska.

Before that he was at Utah State, so not really anything to notice there.

I don't think sam gibson or j. collins or mills was a top 10 ranked db. my point is haley at least tried to get guys like edwards, jernigan, ward etc. cooper has NEVER seriously recruited oos guys of that quality. he takes the 4 best db players in la. each year and that is pretty much it.

DP said on the radio that Cooper was getting tired of the recruiting grind. Cooper is 50 years old so I guess it makes sense to try and move up

If any of y'all know someone with a Tennessee 247 Subscription, the staff just posted something about Terry Joseph and the DB job.
