Let him walk on
If you have to offer brother to get the other one I say pass
The money his parents have made has nothing to do with the fact he's a 4* CB prospect. He's earned the right to get a scholly. Kids with athletic ability should not have to accept walk-on positions at schools because their parents are successful. Its not fair to the kids that has busted their asses to this point.

I get your point but lsu needs to use this loophole to add another 4 star player.
Pretty sure they would only have to pay his tuition for a semester.

Ya it's a grey shirt or blue shirt! Bama did that with the legacy quarterback recruit paul Tyson I thinks his name

I guess arch Manning should be a walk on wherever he goes too

That’s you thinking with your heart and not your head. What does it matter if we give him a scholly or pay his dad a salary that we’re already paying him and he pays his son’s tuition? Either way the kid isn’t having to pay and he’s on the team and we have an extra spot for more talent. You use whatever loophole/advantage you can get to compete with the best. If the kid plays well and helps us win and goes on to an NFL career, no one is gonna say, “yea but did you know his dad actually paid his tuition?” Wfc

You can’t compare a top 3 player at their position to a top 40-60.

I get both sides to this. Honestly, if a kid has plenty of d1 or p5 offers, seems petty to try and get around some scholarship restrictions and have them blueshirt or something to not be an initial 25 counter, or walk on in some fashion early on and get a scholarship later.
On the flip side, a team like Bama seemingly has no issue finding like 1 highly rated kid every other class to blueshirt or greyshirt and skirt around the 25 counter rule in some way. This is how they can add an extra scholarship quality player every year almost and it's most obviously an advantage to have.
If you have 1 team playing strictly by the rules and bring in 125 players over a 5 year span (25 a year) vs. another team bending the rules to bring in 130 players over a 5 year span, the team bringing in 130 is automatically at an advantage there...no doubt about it.

His dad does not want his kids playing for LSU, I have heard it from multiple people close to the family. You can pretty much assume his kids aren't going to LSU barring a massive change of heart by Verge.

I find this really hard to believe
Posted on 3/8/21 at 9:17 am to ForeverLSU5
Why?
The kid said himself that his parents aren't pushing him one way or another but i also have a hard time believing that.

And another thing.
Just think if that extra player is a position of need like a corner.
Could've used that player instead of reaching for darren evans.

Verge has issues with the LSU program/Orgeron.
Posted on 3/9/21 at 7:05 am to ForeverLSU5
I will be shocked if Austin or his brother sign with LSU.My source on that is solid.
Posted on 3/9/21 at 7:42 am to ifyouonlyknew
I know you have good sources so i believe it now.
So, verge doesn't like orgeron?
Is that the only reason?
I'm worried about not being able to get jaiden ausberry.

Sounds like Verge has his own issues instead of worry about Ed

If he is fired, then he is a classic scapegoat. Miles, F-king and Alleva were the issue.

This is not too surprising. The bigger blow will be losing his brother. Austin can be replaced though he's a good talent too. His brother looks like a way bigger blue chip prospect. Neither will go to LSU and Verge is likely getting the ax with the cancel culture around the program right now.

Your cliffhanger title sucks my balls.

Since Alleva wanted to fire Miles and address the problem way back then, for once he’s not the issue.
