Rickie Collins from Woodlawn-BR got an offer from the Tigers today after dominating some really strong 7-on-7 competition at LSU today. The '23 Louisiana QB class is absolutely stacked.

I haven’t seen him play. Anyone have an amateur scouting report from watching him?

I’ve watched him a little while ago. 6’3” 180 Super athletic in the pocket, live arm. Accurate.

Reminds me of Ryan Perriloux. Very clear he’d rather sit in the pocket & sling it, but does have the athleticism to get out of the pocket & make things happen.

I do think this probably tells you where they sit with Arch & Holstein. The more you see of Walker Howard, and the more you see the Ohio St’s of the world offer Holstein, I think they start to see the writing on the wall.

Maybe but could also be that he’s that good. I’d agree Arch is a tough pull and both he and Holstein may not like being behind Walker.

Rickie is a real high character guy too that doesn’t focus on football year round.

He’ll get better once he drops baseball and basketball

I believe it'll be Holstein or Collins for LSU. Arch is a harder pull and it likely depends on us having a good season for him, I think it's possible but it's not looking great. 22 Holstein will be interesting, either LSU is gonna push and get him or they won't push too too hard and sit back and watch for a little. Think they know they get Rickie if they want him.

Really sucks all these quarterbacks are spread out a little more having to see them leave to our competitors bc it’s so stacked in one cycle sucks

Oh I agree. But what I'm saying is I think we slow play him a little just to see if he's considering going out of State instead of staying instate.

Why is Holstein so scared of Walker even in college? There is still a chance of starting as a sophomore in college if Howard lives up to hype. This is way different than sitting until your senior year of high school. Doesn't he know OSU signs a talent equal to Howard every year?

Exactly. People are reaching with the Walker Howard issue. Any school he signs with will have a big time QB on their roster he will have to sit behind.

Your math is off, if Howard is a 3 year player, Holstein would start as a Jr, not a sophomore

It’s not about being scared. Because they both could be really good, but only 1 can play. Its about finding the best fit.

If Walker gets first crack at it & succeeds, then there isn’t even a competition until he leaves

A more staggered depth chart could be more conducive to early playing time.

I agree. It’s not a matter of being scared, it’s just the fact that you’ll sit until your junior year. Some could see it as a positive. Most kids want to play early, though.
