not surprised. randle already knows where he's going and his dad is trying to soften the blow. like i said in the other thread, you guys should get prepared.
yeah but the mods are saying OU, you are saying Bama...
Big difference

mods have been dead wrong this whole time.

You said OU about 6 hours ago!

i dont know how daddy thinks this actually is helping the situation. just signing with OU tomorrow would've been a lot easier
I agree. And the timing of this interview, coupled with dmitch's earlier posts from this weekend indicate that the decision was probably made a while back. This looks orchestrated to me, and poorly done. Attackin gth ecoaches is nto the best form. If they trully feel like they were lied to, still better to take the high road.
I hope I'm wrong and RR puts on an LSU hat. But, not likely.

Dude, either spill it or STFU. This is no time for quirky hint-dropping.

Luke:
He said earlier he had a friend in the Bama coaching office that supposedly heard from RR today. Sucks if true, but oh well. If he does go to Bama, let's hope he meets Mr. Loston across the middle.

let's just say the mods have been less than impressive lately. basically with the predicions and what exactly is going on. i won't name names, but people putting their faith in what certain mods say is=ftl.

For a family that supposedly handled this recrutiment with class, they sure clusterfricked it up righteously in the end, LSU or not.
There is no way you wait until now to go elsewhere.
You don't leave your state school hanging out to dry unless you and your family are not looking back. What would be the sense to wait until now? Promises from ESPN to show your college highlights.
Hell, I know why Curtis did it. McKnight himself didn't bother me at all. But, what does the Randle family have to gain in leaving LSU hanging like this? No one can rightly blame the kid for wanting to go elsewhere, but not where he damages his home state school's recruiting efforts.
I'll have to see this to believe it.

...and thanks for the explanation from earlier, BamaTiger!

if they continued to handle things the right way I think the backlash could have been minimized. You go on a local station and accuse the local school of lying? I don't support the family bashing and what not, but he's now brought it on himself for saying that crap

I have been really doubting that the father of the #1 or 2 recruit in the nation would bother calling in a fricking radio show the day before signing day....but it's been a long time since this news broke and I haven't read anywhere that RR's dad has said it wasn't him. This all just sounds ridiculous...if he's the best...he will play.

Exactly.
IFFFFFFFFFF all this is true about it ACTUALLY being his father on the radio saying this stuff, I'm just very disappointed in all of this.
If it actully IS what it appears to be (a weak attempt at "letting the LSU fans down easy"), then I'm insulted that they'd think we're that fricking stupid.
Seriously.
I sure hope that this wasn't actually Rueben's dad.
