Now that LSU is done for the year, anybody have any updates on potential portal transfers? We need immediate help in quite a few spots.

Expect some names out (heard some names but ill wait until its official) but they need to bring in someone for 2B and at catcher
Yes they have Bergeron coming in but I don't think they should put all their eggs in one basket.
Portal won't heat up probably until after Super regionals finish but June will be a busy month.

Im expecting quite a few to transfer.
My guess is:
Pilon
Edwards
Calland
Stewart
We know the obvious starters that we must retain but a few other key players that we need to are Chaffin, Redoutey and Brandon.

I heard a starting infielder, a pitcher, and out fielder. Hope all bs. Not in the know in softball but do hang around university and talk to peeps.

I misread. I guess he said only a starting IF. Anyway, Brandon was at least third behind Redoutey and now Smith, so I guess not enough playing time makes her portal bound. Thanks for the heads up

We don't see practice but I never though Baylea got much of an opportunity to show what she could do in a game. She should have been used more as a pinch hitter to see what she could do as a potential starter in the future. I think we wasted pinch hit opportunities on players that will not be starting at LSU but that is just my opinion. Maybe Baylea would have stayed if she had gotten a lot more opportunities to at least pinch hit.

There are about 6 players that we can't afford to lose but the rest of them? We will survive. I kind of hope we do have a few more enter the portal, maybe it will force Beth's hand and make her utilize the portal like everyone else.
