Bryce Neal was hired last year and he will be the new hitting coach for LSU softball. I think he helped with hitting last season too. The ladies seem to really like him as a coach.

No one else has transferred from the LSU softball team except for Alea Johnson.

Does anybody know if LSU Softball has any players from last season's roster who are in the Portal? Was Alea Johnson the only transfer out?
Alea Johnson was the only LSU player in the portal.
Alea Johnson was the only LSU player in the portal.
For the NCAA pitching statistics: LINK
Tenn is 10
Ala 16
LSU 17
Aub 27
So our pitching staff was pretty good last year per statistics.

What name is not in the portal and what site did you check?

Also the catcher from Louisville entered the portal, she was the ACC Freshman of the year.
LSU could use her for sure but she will probably transfer to Oklahoma. The starting catcher for Oklahoma is a senior and I believe this is her last year.

The good news about Jordy Bahl transferring from Oklahoma, we will not see her in the SEC.

A friend of mine has access to the portal and she said that Audrey Johnson from LSU entered the portal on June 6. That has to be Alea since that is the only Johnson we have on the team. Beth should have pitched her more this year and she might have stayed with LSU. I just hope she doesn't go to Alabama. She might follow Lindsay Leftwich to NC State or maybe Auburn is another possibility.

Does anybody have verification that Alea Johnson is in the transfer portal? I would be surprised that she is in the portal since Beth has said on several occasions she is the future of our pitching staff along with Sydney Berzon.
We lose three seniors from the LSU softball team: Ali Kilponen (pitcher), Georgia Clark (DP) and Savannah Stewart (sometimes left fielder). Of course there is always the possibility that some other players may go to the transfer portal.

LSU was number 13 in the country with ERA of 1.91. Alabama was 15 with 2.00. Our pitching was actually very good I think the problem was pulling the pitchers at the right time. Just like the last game this weekend against UL. Ali should have pitched the last inning. Some of the batters from UL had already batted 3 or 4 times off Sydney.

Former Depaul All-American forward Aneesah Morrow has announced that she is now a LSU Tiger.
The 6-foot-1 Morrow chose LSU over USC and South Carolina. Last season for the Blue Devils ehe averaged 25.78 points per game and was fantastic on the boards with over 12 rebounds per game.
Morrow was supposed to take an official visit to South Carolina and Dawn Staley this weekend but cancelled. She visited Southern California before her official visit to LSU last weekend.
In two seasons at Depaul, Morrow let the Big East with 53 double-doubles. She has two years of eligibility remaining.
Kim Mulkey and her LSU staff just signed the No. 1 ranked recruiting class of high school stars and now they’ve added two All-American’s in Morrow and guard Hailey Van Lith, formerly of Louisville, who signed with LSU last week.
Morrow prepped at Simeon High School in Chicago, Illinois.
“I kind of feel like I was a butterfly in a cocoon, and now it’s time for me to go and spread my wings,” Morrow told ESPN about her decision to transfer after two seasons at DePaul in her hometown of Chicago.
She’ll be doing just that with the defending national champions.

Aaron Anderson has committed to LSU: LINK
I hope Kennedi H. finds a team that she can play and start. It wasn't going to happen at LSU. Just too much talent ahead of her.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama wide receivers Traeshon Holden and Christian Leary announced on Wednesday that they intend to enter the NCAA transfer portal.
Holden made his announcement via social media:
"To the Alabama Family, I would like to thank coach Saban and the entire Alabama coaching staff for everything that you have done for me while I was a student-athlete here," Holden's post reads. "Having said that, I would to announce that I will be entering the transfer portal effective immediately."
Holden hails from Kissimmee, Fla., but attended Narbonne High School in California. There, he was ranked at the No. 22 player on the 247Sports Composite.
Over the course of his career at Alabama, Holden played in 29 games, making 46 receptions for 570 yards and seven touchdowns. In the 2022 season, he participated in 10 games, where he made 25 receptions for 331 yards and six scores.
In the Iron Bowl last Saturday, Holden made one reception: a 27-yard touchdown.
Leary, like Holden, also made his announcement on social media:
"I want to thank The University of Alabama and the coaching staff for an unforgettable 2 years," Leary's post reads. "Thank you for the opportunity and the knowledge I have gained throughout that time, in saying that I will be entering the transfer portal."
Leary, who hails from Orlando, came to Alabama as a consensus four-star prospect and the No. 68 overall recruit in the 2021 class according to the 247Sports Composite. This season, he appeared in 10 of 12 games and recorded one catch for six yards in the Crimson Tide's season opener against Utah State.
The vast majority of Leary's work came on special teams. Most recently against Austin Peay, Leary recorded one tackle on kickoff coverage for Alabama.
During his freshman season of 2021, multiple injuries to Alabama's running backs lead to Leary filling in at the position. In total, Leary ran the ball three times for 22 yards against Mexico State and recorded an 11-yard receiving touchdown against Arkansas the next week.
Alongside Leary and Holden's announcements on Wednesday, it was also learned that Crimson Tide redshirt-junior offensive lineman Tanner Bowles would also be entering the portal. As a reserve offensive lineman, Bowles played in all 12 of Alabama's games this season.
Leary, Holden and Bowles are the sixth, seventh and eighth Crimson Tide players to enter the transfer portal and make it six players to have entered over the past two weeks. Earlier this week, offensive lineman Damieon George also entered the portal.
The four players this week join running back Trey Sanders, defensive back Khyree Jackson, punter/placekicker Jack Martin and defensive lineman Braylen Ingraham.
