And this morning the topic over there is how most of the judges for tomorrow night are from *gasp* Louisiana! Counting down the minutes until the comments are turned off!

Any early thoughts, gut feelings, wishes ahead of tomorrow’s meet?

I want Kamryn to get a shot at redemption on vault but I have a feeling she won’t be in the lineup based on Jay’s interview. I also hope Desiderio gets one more week of rest on floor. Hoping Kiya can at least give us three events, although it doesn’t look promising based on her vault last week. Also hoping Sarah can get back on vault. I am not sure how her body has responded to Covid...so I highly doubt it.

Edwards is expected to be back tomorrow and Jay said he isn’t giving up on Ryan.

Supposedly of all the kids she has been one of the biggest standouts in practice

If LSU can get Ryan comfortable on vault, that changes our vault potential a lot.

I think not having Kiyas DTY has been a reason for our limited vault scores so far. That and the judges refuse to go higher than a 9.9 for Bryant which is crazy. Alyona and the freshmen are coming along though on vault which is big.

Good to hear Edwards will be back. I’m hoping we get a couple of sticks on vault. Really crossing my fingers one of them is Haleigh. She’s due, and what a better time than against the #1 team!

Bryant's vault scoring has been the most frustrating scoring me in the NCAA this year. I know she hasn't stuck one yet, but even when she has a small hop, that's 0.05 off max because everything else is LITERALLY perfect and miles better than any other vault. She's so doing that vault so much better than anyone doing it, yet they're getting comparable scores.

I think we are going to need some sticks against Florida. I think for post season, we are going to need at least one (if not both) of Kamryn's 1.5 and Kiya's double.

Tommorrow, I hope we get to a strong start on vault, even though its not been our best event this year. That said, I fully suspect that we will behind Florida after rotation 1 - which will be fine, but we just need to focus on what we can do - we can go toe to toe (mostly, largely pending Alyona's dismount and Haleigh's double front - which looks great but, like Ruby, almost always a deduction because it is so hard to stick ) with FL on bars and if they don't have sticky feet our vault rotations are comparable. After that, I give them the edge on beam (by just a bit), but I think ending on floor will be good for us. I think the whole beam rotation is key - but I think reagan hasn't quite unlocked her potential there yet this year and assuming the rest of that rotation at least reasonably hits, I am looking for her to bring it home!

All in all I expect a competitive meet and am looking forward to it!

My thoughts are LSU needs Kiya on VT, UB, and FX and Sarah not to be fatigued and ready to go on VT and FX. I also think for LSU to pull this win out, they will need to stick some of those 10 start value vaults. No pressure! Ha! On paper, LSU should have the best vault rotation in the nation. I hope we see that potential tomorrow night.

My fingers crossed FX lineup for tomorrow: Reagan, Sierra, Alyona, Sarah, Kiya, Haleigh

For anyone that is familiar with judging, could Haleigh be getting deductions for blocking so close to the start of the horse? Is the block supposed to be more centered off the horse? I think she could possibly be getting some deductions on distance, although I feel like the incredible height she gets should cancel that out. What do I know though.

Did they release the pre meet notes? Can't find it.

I agree 100% on that FX line-up. Also, if they go with Alyona, Edwards, Kiya and Haleigh on vault, I'd like to see either brock and ryan or brock and arenas, not ryan and arenas. I just think brock is sooo reliable on vault already.

I legit think this is honestly our best lineup with Ballard and Desiderio fighting for that last spot.

I think Dean is great for depth just don’t think that’s a floor routine we can count on to score well come post season. There is no way judges in post season are gonna throw out anything higher than a 9.800 on that routine. The middle pass alone is worth at least a full .100 with the very bent knees on the 1.5 twist before her front layout

Elena last week, that was by far her best vault at LSU. She finally didn’t pike it down like she normally does and let the landing come to her. If she can continue to build on that, I think that can be a solid 9.85+ vault moving forward.

Also forgot to mention Brock was so improved last week in her bars form - I hope she channels that for this week!

I honestly don’t care if we win this meet so long as we get a good score. Would rather rest kiya and have her healthy for sec’s and beyond. Same with edwards and desidario. I actually think we should not use desidario at all on floor. One bad landing and she’s down for beam the rest of the year and we need her more there than on floor.

as much as I love Desiderio on floor, she will always get that low chest/uncontrolled landing deduction on her last pass that will make her go 9.850 max even when she hits. That being said, i'd keep her only on beam and put some of the freshmen on floor. I do think we need to go for the win in this meet though, the competitiveness factor in florida v LSU is huge and it pushes them for throwing big gymnastics, IMO. see Ruby Harrold last year.

Overall, I'm very excited for tonight and bummed that they did not release the pre meet notes

Ruby had the meet of her life last year! I recently looked back at our score from that meet, and I didn't remember it being so high, and I thought to myself was that just crazy scores flying from being at Florida.. Well then I remembered the night Ruby had, and yep.. that certainly helps!

Yea, I took it as a bad sign about Kiya and maybe even Sarah. Fingers crossed I'm very wrong!

I agree with some of you that I honestly don't care about getting a win tonight and don't expect one. Florida is clearly the best team in the country right now, and I don't think even Oklahoma could beat them if they're hitting as they can. Imo, hitting 24 for 24, getting Elena on bars and Sierra on floor, maybe Dunne on beam if she's ready, and having Alyona as solid in the all around as she was last week is a win in my book, and should be close to Florida. I would also love to see Haleigh reach 39.7 in the all around, because we all know she can even though she's a frosh. Rest Desiderio and Kiya on floor if we need to, honestly put Elena up because we know she can hit.

It’s funny how College Gym News just gave Arkansas a shot out on Twitter for their pre meet lineup notes. Had to send them the receipts that LSU Gym did it first. It’s sad that LSU can’t get credit for anything these days.

I saw that, LSU had been doing that long before they even started.

Pre-Meet notes have been included now. For those of you who hate to click, Edward back on VT & FX. Kiya on VT, UB, and BB. Dean out of the floor lineup, and Sierra in. CD is also back in the floor lineup.

That floor lineup makes me happy. I know ballard is still very inexperienced and that DLO is new but I like LSU going with it due to her potential

Got to take your chances sometime

Why has Jay had Alyona so early in the vault line up? I’d put her after Sarah. And I’d also switch her and Dunne in the bar lineup.
