Remaining Needs/Targets

WR room, QB room, RB room, TE room, DL room, DB room, Special Teams unit, all looking stacked as of now.
LB room will be very good, hoping to see Ross and Braiker take a big step, but would still like to add another piece there, leaving it all up to the o-line.
Needs:
1 more QB. Husan Longstreet would stack the LSU QB room like no other. Not expecting Longstreet though. Would be okay taking a flyer on a younger QB with talent who can develop, or getting another guy who put up big production at say an FCS school.
1 more RB. I do believe Caden Durham back stacks the room. I think Berry and Durham take big leaps with Kevin Smith and Lane. Potential Targets, Dante Dowdell, to give LSU a power back, who is a bruiser. If not Dowdell, go after a bigger back, who can be used for short yardage.
3 more o-lineman. I like some of the additions. I still think LSU needs a couple of guys who have starting experience. Potential line shaping up to be (as currently stands)
LT: Darrin Strey
LG: Solomon Thomas
C: Braelin Moore
RG: ?
RT: Weston Davis
Potential Targets:
T: Josiah Thompson
T: Ty Haywood
T: Zach Couchner
T: Leon Bell
T: Bo Hughley
T: Broderick Shull
G: Tegra Tshabola
G: Paki Finau
G: Tyrell Green
G: Cole Skinner
Kick the tires on a Mubenga return?
The Defense is extremely impressive already. I feel confident in every group, and the players LSU already has. Obviously if a big name wants on board you take them though.
Damon Wilson II Edge
Mandrell Desir Edge
Daryll Desir Edge
Qua Russaw Edge
Wendell Gregory Edge
Zuriah Fisher Edge
James Smith DL
Francis Brewru DL
Enow Etta DL
Cade Uluave LB
Smith Snowden CB
Aaron Scott Jr. CB
AJ Harris CB
Koi Perich S
If any of these guys want on board, you make it happen.
Overall LSU needs minimum
1 QB
1 RB
3 O-line
Grab another LB, and CB.

Specifically on the OL we need Tackles. Starting experience would be awesome. Great breakdown also btw.

I'm gonna need highlight reels and a full scouting report for every one of those potential targets!

Adjusted current line for Strey at LT, and Weston Davis at RT.

Dowdell signing with Georgia. But still some options out there

I think as many d-lineman that LSU has, they are still hunting a premiere edge guy to get after the qb. LSU is still hosting d-linemen, so that tells you they are not done there yet. And there are still some big stud d-linemen in the portal, including some good ones from Bama.

Give me Longstreet, Haywood, and the two best guards you can find and we ready.

1A. Offensive Line
1B. We could use additional depth and experience across the entire back end of the defense...LB, CB and Safety

If we don’t get Longstreet (which we probably won’t) we are more likely to take a high school QB in the Feb signing period.

I agree with the idea of adding a HS qb for the 3rd scholarship player in the room, but it's a very shortlist available: 4 in the top 100 QBs. the top ranked available is 605 overall and 38th rated QB. I think we're better off in the portal

Ol is obvious adds. I would feel comfortable with another dl, linebacker, and corner/safety

3 OL (2 STARTING EXP AND 1 DEPTH)
1 QB (3RD STRING)
1 RB
1 DE
1 LB
1 CB
8 more additions and lets get to spring ball

Great breakdown! On the offensive line I was curious about guys like Tyler Johnson, Jude Foster - SEC guys from Louisiana.

They need to get Delane, and that 5 star edge Wilson, and OL.
Posted on 1/12/26 at 2:30 pm to Geauxing for 3
Haywood committed to and almost signed with Bama out of HS. He’s been crystal balled there. I don’t know if he’s ever considered LSU

Is anyone else worried about o line?
Posted on 1/12/26 at 3:24 pm to TigerLifer18
At least 2 more for the Oliine
1 more QB
1 pass rusher
Need a total of 5 RBs, so 2 more ( hope Durham is one of them)
1 or 2 CBs
1 more safety
OP didn't list Thompson on Oline. I thought he was coming back.
