Yea I noticed that Durkin visited Haskins yesterday. From all accounts it went really well.. I'm hoping his OV to Baton Rouge blows everything out the water for Dwayne. Kevin Tolliver getting his cousin to LSU almost makes Cam Cameron obsolete at this stage.

You know, with the way Cam has shat the bed on Haskin's recruitment so far, I'm wondering if Haskins sees Cam leaving as a good thing. hmmmmm One can hope.

Says more about the family of the player who has been committed to LSU for almost 2 years and then reneged

Thank you, glad to see someone gets it. If it went down like that, the Franks family were embarrassed, not angry. 'Lack of communication'? That's a BS excuse and you know it. I can see where Franks gets his chest problems.

Cam did a few things that really pissed off the family over the past few months leading up to his decommitment. (Lack of communication, failing to properly schedule hotel arrangements, etc.)

Wow!!!! If totally true that is disgraceful.

quote:

When he called Cam Cameron to decommit, he did so with a heavy heart. It was an emotional conversation, as the two have forged a very solid bond during the recruiting process. Cameron and Miles had no intention of backing off of Franks, and the family was really receptive to the news that they were following up on a previously scheduled visit.
quote:

The questions regarding Cameron's future at LSU will become the center of conversation, but the Franks' family will likely be reassured that the team of coaches they initially committed to will be in place for the foreseeable future. As long as Cameron is retained, it appears that the Tigers have a legitimate shot of bringing Franks into the fold. But time is running out, as Franks is set to enroll in college in just over five weeks.

So either the OP or the Nola.com author is flat-out wrong about the Cameron-Franks relationship.

I know that is his perfect idea of a QB he can mold (Joe Flacco with mobility), but he needs to let it go.

Why even recruit Harris then?

Haskins tried to commit but cam wouldn't let him. This shite is gettin ridiculous. The Frank's train has sailed, get Haskins on board now. fricking dumb to play these games and end up with no qbs

This can't be real. There's no way our coaches are that stupid.

You're saying that since Franks decommitted, Haskins tried to Flip and LSU turned him away?

well to be fair, recruiting reality and how recruiting is reported (esp by major, non-recruiting media) are 2 very different things

that 2nd paragraph you quoted, for instance, is an opinion of the writer. that was the common meme that was pushed by LSU so the fans wouldn't revolt (especially given the turmoil that Les was in during this time period). it's all about self-promotion and preservation

Do you believe if the family "didn't even let Cam in the house" we would have heard nothing of it?

wtf? Either there is some serious missing info here, or that family is kind of whack.

Dwayne Haskins:
Les and Cam are pulling out all the stops to get him to flip from Maryland.

Good, I think this kid is going to be a winner would love to have him.
