This is one of the dumbest posts I'll read all day. And that's quite a feat.

Four starters, Dak is in his fourth freaking year. For another thing, he didn't even play his first two years. For another thing, he is in a system that utilizes his skill. For another thing, Jennings was graded out high at Elite 11 camps for his passing and accuracy. For another thing, stop being so damn impatient. Y'all seriously won't let a guy grow at all.

I'm not saying he should start (Harris should IMO), but you got morons calling about not getting any more dual threats (you and others) when the only actual dual threats who threw any passes for us, were Perriloux and Harris. Everybody else was a pro style passer.

Miles turned both Jennings and Jefferson into zone read, option QBs. Hell, he even had Mett running some speed option. The one thing is that Jennings has a QB coach where Jefferson didn't. Jennings will improve his passing in time like Dak has. Dak didn't come out of high school throwing the ball well. He didn't even do it that well last year. You would have been complaining if he started for us last year regardless of if Mett were here or not.

ETA: oh I forgot garbage time and 3-4 plays here and there, really mattered. The dude was pretty much inserted in games to give a different look his second year.

People forget that Dak took until late last year to separate himself from a bad QB. It takes time, and it just clicks.

Prescott fits the system at Mississippi State better than he does the one at LSU. He has a very similar skill set to Tim Tebow and runs the same offense. He is also had many years in that system and has veterans all around him.

They can't rank what matters most: heart, effort, commitment, ability to learn and improve.

It's not about football anymore. It's about how you look in a tee shirt and shorts. We've seen it time and time again. Want an offer? Pay me. Don't want to pay for my camp? No offer, and I will say it's because you're scared to compete. Same thing with the recruiting sites. Skip their camps and they will under rank you if they rank you at all.

This!!! People are stupid if they believe in these rankings. You are listening to a bunch of middle age men that may or may not have played the sport at a high level past high school. Who went to college and got degrees in journalism and some not that. what's amazing to me is that I have come across a bunch of these guys over the years and none of them impress me. I remember the old adage, "those that can do, those that can't teach!" Same with these rankings, " those that can really evaluate talent COACH, those that can't RANK!" Which do you think pays more, writer or coach? Which would you do if you had the option?

Rivals didn't give Speedy Noil his proper ranking because he committed to the 5 star challenge and didn't show up in Chicago. Did he all of a sudden become less talented or was there a bunch of journalist that was butt hurt he didn't show up? Guys if you pay your money and run to all these camps and promote the services, you too can at least be a four star. If you don't show up and you don't participate in their camps and services, then you are a 3 star or less. These guys have no way of knowing who is a 5 star or 4 star. I wish they would post a disclaimer for these kids and parents that really don't know any better. DISCLAIMER:" For entertainment purposes ONLY!!!!!!"

Dak's head coach is very good with the type of QB he is. He has also gotten much better each year. Some high school kids are coached by guys who never played football and run a very simple offense so they dont really get to show their skills. He may have also not had very good players around him. That is why a coach who can see what kids can be is so important. LSU used to be the best at that. We would find kids who were not as highly recruited but ended up really good.

Dak was nothing before this season. He was allowed to develop and now he looks good in his junior year. That's how college football is supposed to work. Dak still isn't that great either. He's not a very good passer. He's the perfect Mullen QB, a system QB all the way.
I wish he was at LSU because he's better than what we have now but that's mostly due to experience and scheme. Give Jennings and Harris some time and they will do good things.

1. Dak is in a system that take full advantage of all his Strengths and masks any flaws he might have. (The same skill set Tebow had in the same system)

2. Dak is in his 4th year in this offense. He is a redshirt Junior. So he has had tie to develop. He wasn't this good in his send year, and he wasn't this good last year.

I can't wait for the Egg Bowl or even Ms St vs Bama because Dak will be somewhat exposed. Now they still might win but he's not all world Cam Newton status.

Bit early to say that considering Dak is a RS Jr with 2.5 years of game experience compared to Jennings who is in his first year essentially.

Some of y'all might have revisionist history, but Dak wasn't very good in 2012 and 2013. He was a run only QB in a spread offense who couldn't pass very well. Experience matters in CFB. Especially in the SEC.

How do the recruiting services consistently screw up QB ratings - especially the ones who come to LSU.

After so many "screw up" doesn't the question have to be asked whether it is the recruiting services or is it LSU?

Prescott is playing in a system that utilizes his strengths as a player well. LSU on the other hand continues to try to jam square pegs into round holes.

So you're saying in 2 years Jennings will go to New York for the Heisman presentation?

A lie put out by LSU fans to try and justify missing on him. There was a lot of buzz around him for 2-3 years in North LA.

I don't care much about stars/rankings but I do put a lot of stock in offers. Prescott had a weak offer list compared to Jerrard Randall and Stephen Rivers that LSU signed in the same recruiting class.

LSU signed 3 QBs in that class (including Mett) and probably had all three rated higher than Prescott. You can criticize them for it, but their offer list suggests that many other big time schools did as well.
