Many start out this way at LSU.

by all means Hill is a great player. But it's not really a huge deal. We are set at RB whether he re-commits or not.
Yeah, hate to say I agree, but I do. I think Ridley leaving next year will entice a Borque and/or Fournette (or some other stud) to come here and compete for that open spot, despite the presence of the(projected) juniors in the way.
However, the reason why I say I hate to agree is that nothing is certain in recruiting as there is no guarantee a Borque or Fournette will commit, so you never at miss on a quality talent like Hill when you have it in your hand.
Plus, wasn't it 2005 when every LSU running back missed games with major & minor injuries (Broussard, Vincent, Addai, Carey)? I just remember thinking at the time what great depth we had, and then after the injuries, wishing we had an 8-deep stock of RB talent. Freak injuries to Ford, Ware, Hilliard, & Blue could theoretically leave LSU with just Magee, Turner & Gore. Having Hill would make us all feel more comfortable. That old adage of you can't ever have enough RB's was never more true in 2005 (?) and I never want to revisit that dire situation.

Word on scout is that it is a family issue. His family is practically forcing him to look around. LSU is still considered the far and away leader for his signature.
its amazing what happens when families start thinking like the Newtons.
Why commit now when it could be worth 200k later.

Really LSU fans are overreacting.
I say we roll out the red carpet for our hometown kid and show him we want him. From reading this thread most feel he is better than Hillard and Hillard is out of shape.
I dont think he goes to any contenders except maybe wisconsin or Ohio State and start immediately. After watching Les rolled out the youth movemnt this season. I dont see why any kid wouldnt want to be here. you may redshirt and then be on the field in some capacity and get meaningful snaps for the next four years with each year getting better.
We intentionally ran plays for Ware, ford, and blue. Plus got RR adn RS a couple of touches per game.
Boone, Wright i mean we had some youngsters out there.

Good for Hill. I'm guessing the thirty concussions Ridley had this year by running straight into the line helped him wise up. Go yonder and seek greener pastures. Stud/Crowton will get you killed.
are you serious?

LSU had a solid running game this year and Ridley rushed for about 1100 yds with a 4.6ish per attempt average. Seems to me that our O-line did pretty well this year considering they lost two starters for most of the year. But hey, I guess its easier to just say Stud is a horrible coach.

very simple, if he can't break the starting line up at lsu, how the hell is he going to break the starting line up with a pro team?
they have much better and deeper situations on any pro team.

You must be young or have a failing memory.

Doesn't this make any of you guys nervous about La'El?
Is La'El solid? This is the main reason im nervous about loosing Jeremy. I like Jeremy as a receiver out of the backfield,i like him. But this makes me think they could be a package deal, and where Jeremy goes La'El follows?
Thought?

I've been saying this all year... Hill is the best skill position player in Louisiana this year and maybe the best player in the state.
I've seen just about every one of the top ranked players in the state at lest once and he's the one in this class that has leaped out at me more than once. I saw him head to head with the other stud RB in this class against Patterson and I thought Hill had a far better night. His mix of size and speed is just about perfect for an SEC RB.
Cue the La'ell Collins excuses. They're pretty typical and show you probably haven't even seen the kids tapes.
Last year my pick was Tyranne Mathieu and that worked out pretty well.
I've been hot on Hill since before he committed to LSU.
I'm not putting any prediction as to where he ends up just an honest perspective from someone who sees tons of High School football in this state.

Hill could play his freshman year.
Kid is a monster.
i've seen Hilliard twice & Hill once over the past few years, Hill was clearly the better RB, probably the best I've ever seen on the HS level(not that i have a huge sample).

Once he found out what the Alabama schools are paying for talented players, he had to look into it.

Another reason we should make sure anll good players go to Parkview and and not Redem-me. Parkview players never have to look around.

Well we are already solid at RB imo so I just view this as an opportunity to pick up another lineman or maybe a linebacker. I feel the need there is much greater. Yes I agree we have some great lineman but it is not physically possible (consulted with Hawkings) to have 'too many' good linemen.
