Yeah most people here don’t understand how it works. Most high profile players are going to take visits. There are a very limited number of players who will just see that Kiffin is coaching and blindly come to the program.

Went from hoping for commitments to hoping for announced visits.
This is the opening of a new recruiting season, not necessarily signing day.
The keeping players already on the team aspect is not exciting in the least.

Players want to know how they will fit into the scheme, expected playing time, amenities, NIL offers and expectations.
Money is a major factor but if it’s a difference between $1mil and $1.2 mil, why wouldn’t you take a visit to make sure it’s not going to ruin your potential draft stock by going to a team that may misuse you?

Yes, hope he stays. However, we still need to get a backup C that can play guard too (possibly start at G).
