I thought about him having an easy route but thought about him at ULL in the sun belt with their lopsided resources compared to the competition 
Pretty sure he just wants a reputation building Tech from the ashes to something meaningful and enjoying his home state. No way he didn’t have a few better offers than Tech while at ULL

I am sure it was for fiscal and reasons we'll never know. it's not like he didn't have offers from better programs than Texas Tech. In this age of college sports I'm just curious as to why now at his age and why tech, even if they're offering bank? that's a difficult job and age is a factor in recruiting. I wouldn't want him at LSU at 62.

Gerry Glasgo was born, grew up, and attended college in Illinois. He will be 66 in October. He previously coached at Texas A&M and a professional fast pitch team from Conroe. TT is paying him $250,000 / year and $500,000 in NIL money for the players. Prior to coaching, he guided quail hunts near Lubbock so he’s no stranger to West Texas. He can definitely coach and the NIL money will make TT competitive

Taylor Roman sat out the 2024 season and left since she wanted more playing time. She transferred to Ole Miss before Habetz was even named the HC, probably wanted a fresh new start. Both her parents played sports at LSU. Her dad, Mark is from The Berry and played 10 yrs in the NFL (CIN, GB, SF). Mom ran track.

Sam Landry who will be the most in demand recruit just announced last night she leaving, I will be stunned if she isn’t at LSU for various reasons

Sam signed with UL because of Glasco. Won't be surprised if she follows him to Lubbock especially with the NIL $$$ they will offer her. GG is a very good coach and a better person.

She was in portal before coaching change. She sat out last season and was going to transfer last season but stayed and graduated first before transferring out .
