Rafer Alston on Wade's "Obsessive" recruitment off his son Reese

What I heard was Rafer Alston has been in and out of his kids recruitment, saw an opportunity to enrich himself, and got mad when Reese chose a school that dealt with the kid himself and his mom instead. Wanted some kind of package deal that got him an assistant coaching job.

Does that "N" stand for NC State?

These comments were from before the commitment. I'm not even entirely sure I believe they are legit. Either way, the son committed to play for WW.

He linked the post on his Instagram then skipped his son's commitment ceremony. It's how he feels but given his actions not sure anyone should think he's the honorable party in the matter.

Are you serious? You really don’t know what team that symbol represents?

Who is Skip to my Lou?

I know this is a foreign concept to the streetballer dad, but if you are going to pull a 5 star basketball recruit from 1990 to present day, the coaches in pursuit are ALL OBSESSIVE.
Every single coach has to be OBSESSIVE to land these ego driven guys.
You need to be obsessive to get their attention and have an NIL package that reinforces that commitment to THEM.
What planet has Skip to my Lou been living on?
Problem is, it is his kids decision.
If he lived with the mom and kid, perhaps he would have greater influence. That is his problem for making other life decisions.

That is assuredly what happened.
A promised payday for him elsewhere and Wade went after the mom instead

He's no Hot Sauce that's for sure.

What I remember about Rafer Alston when he played for the Rockets is that he was a jackass and in legal trouble a lot.

Hot Sauce couldn’t even make an NBA roster. Skip to my Lou was an NBA starter for the Houston Rockets with Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming

Dude got paid $30M in the NBA and seems like he needs some $ if he's looking around for coaching gigs and big paydays
