QBs over the next few years

This looks to be the golden age of QB recruiting at LSU.
I'd love to have them all stay and transition from one five star to another. I just wonder how likely that is in this age of easy transfers.
Which of these will start ten or more games for our Tigers in the future?
Brennan
Johnson
Finley
Nussmeier
Howard
Manning
Holstein
Someone else?

It's more likely that more of the 5 we know will be Tigers transfer than play 10 games moving forward. 1 of Brennan/Finley/Johnson is likely not a Tiger this coming season, possibly 2 if Nuss rises quickly. Then we get to next spring where it all opens up again and Howard is added to the mix. Imo it's likely only 2 on that list start 10 games for us in the future. 3 max. Hopefully the staff chooses the correct ones to lead the program. These hotshot kids from hs aren't coming to sit for 2+ years. Guys like Brennan are gonna be more and more rare. Staffs have to try to balance college ready and developmental QB prospects in order to keep quality depth on their rosters.

With Howard on board already I just don't see Manning coming here. But lets play the game that Manning indeed comes here.
21'
Brennan SR
Johnson SO
Finley SO
Nuss FR
(No one leaves)
22'
Johnson JR
Finley(Transfers out)
Nuss FSFR
Howard FR
23'
Johnson SR(Has a great JR season and goes to NFL or doesn't go to NFL)
Nuss SO
Howard RSFR
Manning FR
Under this scenario if Johnson is a SR I just don't see Nuss, Howard and Manning all being here in 23' but man if that would happen you talk about a great situation. I just don't think all 3 would be here in 24' and probably not in 23' either. I am excited to see this all play out though

Here's my complete stab in the dark with no clue what will even happen but why not guess:
2021: rSR. Brennan
2022: rSO. Johnson
2023: rJR. Johnson
2024: rSO. Howard
2025: rJR. Howard
Not going to speculate who we get between Arch, Eli or whoever else, extremely tough to know.

Since 2020 didn't count against eligibility, Brennan could still be here in 22.

Howard is going to be the man. Can’t wait

Agreed, nobody seems to fully understand that these guys are not all going to sit on the bench for 3 years waiting to play when they can transfer to another school and have a chance to start immediately.
We don't want Max Johnson transferring, we need Jake Johnson to commit and play at LSU. That kid is going to be a very good tight end. Maybe he will be the guy we thought we were getting when Gilbert signed to play here without the quitter attitude.

I tell you one theming for damn sure
I’m happy as hell to have this problem and not wondering if it’ll be Anthony Jennings or Brandon Harris doing the toss dive.
O has completely transformed that room. Thank goodness for him leading us out of the wasteland.

Nussmeier will start and be an all conference and possibly All American QB at LSU.

Wrong! Anyone who doesn't understand that one or more of those guys will transfer doesn't understand present day sports.
Would you rather have five QBs commited or on campus, or one or none, like Miles.
They all won't play for LSU, but we will have a competent starter and backup.
What a change from the QB room when Orgeron arrived.

I would say the betting favorites would or should be
Max Johnson and Walker Howard

Who would have ever thought an LSU QB room would be stacked like that

You’re saying the exact same thing.

You’re only getting downvotes, but I came to ask the same thing. He was a JR last season, so would he not be a COVID-JR again this season?

Serious question... does this happen at all if Burrow doesn’t transfer here? I guess we could never know.
So did O transform it or Burrow?

Finley will be out, the future is Nuss and Howard. Next year I expect Johnson to start, the year after that, total toss up

Manning will not come here, even if he is offered a starter's job on day one. They are a family of Ole Miss grads and LSU enemies.
Brennan has two years of eligibility. If he is returning in 21, he has to play two years, for him to have any shot at a late round pick in the NFL.
Finley / Max Johnson, only one of them will stay. I hope it is Max. I think Finley graduates early in '22 and transfers to another P5 school where he is guaranteed a starters job (Joe Burrow style). He is a bright young man.
The question is if there a 2 years of Brennan and 2 years of Max, does Nus wait 4 years to start 1 year or does he transfer.
Bottom line is you will never be more than 2 deep at QB and now we are already 3-4 deep, due to good recruiting by O.

Man, if we only had a former Ole Miss HC that Archie helped get hired there and still maintains a close relationship with, while witnessing a QB friendly offense that produced a Heisman winner and NC trophy.
