Butte is a JUCO in California. Not portal, but California produces a metric shite ton of high level TE talent. So, cool.

I expect him to rather soon

Also believe his coach at Butte is the father of former baseball commit Robby Snelling… never made it to campus got drafted but it is a connection

I was thinking they would get an experienced TE that has one year of eligibility left so these other guys can mature for a year and get PT in 2024.

Another guy with three years exp Might have some TE searching soon.

Interestingly, it looks like he's being written up as an offensive tackle...

Gilbreath, listed at 6-6, 255 pound tight end, but is most likely being recruited as an offensive tackle who has four years to play 3 seasons.

Looking over his film as a freshman at Butte College it’s pretty easy to spot him as he drives defenders out of plays—sometimes off of the screen.

Although he was unrated coming out of University Prep in Redding, he’s picked up an offer from Miami in addition to the Huskies.

And here's his film.

Listed at 6-6, 270 on HUDL, and honestly I think that's probably closer to what he is that 255.

He plays tight end, and we might keep him there as a blocker since we really don't have a pure blocking tight end unless Markway is ready to do that. But this guy is really a tackle. I can see putting 15-20 pounds on him in the weight room this summer and playing him there.

Definitely with 4 to play 3 he's a guy who develops as a tackle.

And yes. He'd be a really nice take.

He likes to hit people that's for sure! Grabs a lot of those kids by the shoulder pads, is that legal?

That made me look up Snelling minor league stats. .86 ERA in 21 innings. What could have been…

4 to play 3 means we have plenty of time to fix that technique.

And to get him to 320 pounds.

I think he's a tackle, though we might put an 80-something jersey on him and have him be a short yardage heavy jumbo tight end.

This year.

The more I look at this guy the more I like this pickup if in fact we're going to grab him.

We're at 13 scholarship offensive linemen, and we need a couple more. Amaury and this kid puts us at 15 and fixes our depth, plus both of those two guys are sophomores who have a little experience and a lot of time left.

I love Kelly and how he operates. Such a smart operator of a program.

Wonder if they think he can be a Darnell Washington type in terms of blocking in the run game

I still hate we missed on Washington. Hope we get this kid. Put him in on 4th and short and run Cain to his side.
