Be realistic

I disagree with the majority here. The quicker he can get into a real strength & conditioning program the better. If he’s as good as we hope, the 5 year clock does not matter.

This is really good (not unexpected) news.

Yeah The same 5 years Matt Flynn, Zach Mettenberger, Joe Burrow Jayden Daniels and Garrett Nussmeir took.

or do you think the courts will throw that out

I'm hearing Pop Houston thinking about reclassifying to thr 26 class. And he'll be an early enrollee

That seems impossible. Booty did it because he took English IV over the Summer. How is Pop supposed to finish English III and English IV a month into his junior year and graduate in December? I know Evangel isn’t a real school, but still. Is he just going to get a GED?

Why would he want to lose his QB?

Houston turned 17 yesterday. So he would be 18 by the end of 2026 football season

If he turned 17 yesterday then wouldn’t that mean he’d be 18 at the beginning of the 2026 football season instead of the end since it’s September?

That would be perfect. Developmentally, I think he's the most starter ready of the 3.

You think a 16 yr old kid is ready to go right now?

You people.

Since all of these kids were held back at least once in primary school, all reclassifying does is get them back on schedule to enter college at 18yrs old.

Duron is has done it all. Putting guys onto SEC rosters and perhaps an NFL path is more rewarding at this point than making the playoffs.

He was obviously not held back if he is just turning 17.

Yes, just pointing out that he would play a whole high school football season at the age of 18 before graduating early and early enrolling at lsu. Thats a lil unique compared to alot of guys that reclassify.

Read the rest of the thread. He'll be turning 18 early into the 2026 season.

He's got the remainder of this season to continue to develop in HS, early enroll next spring and then spring, fall, summer practice.

None of that means he's a pencilled in starter. He just gets to campus so he can get the S&C, practice and training.

He will be 18 around the start of next season and is 17, not 18 right now

This is not another Hurley situation where he's enrolling when he's 16. IF he enrolled very early in January he will have already been 17 for several months

So he's only 18 months younger than Colin Hurley and Hurley was 2024 class

Van Buren was 2024 class and he turned 21 in July.
