Daddy Randle came across very classy. I think the whole Randle family should get some props for selflessly looking out for Benton's career.

They knew Randle's career would be fine at any of the schools he could have chosen, but Benton's would be short-lived had he signed with LSU having LaFell, Tolliver and Randle ahead of him.

The Randle's weren't concerned with the "bragging rights" of getting top prospects & top classes that we recruiting fans are obesssed over. They just wanted to make sure their son and his friend went into the best possible situation which they admit would be at separate schools due to limited playing time offered at LSU.

I'm pretty sure that is why the link is included. If you are illiterate, I understand.

Excuse me for quoting Emmitt Randle.

And would it kill you internet losers to come up with an original thought of your own? Here's a suggestion, forget you ever had heard the word "douche".

Ain't buyin' what Mr. Randal is sellin'.
He put us in a bad situation.
We got the better player, but it doesn't go down very well.
Will we hear from Mr. Randall again, a la Ms. Mustain?

I agree with you as it pertains to the basic argument re: this thread, but douche is a fantastic word.

This sh*t is old. It has been discussed over and over again. In sum:

1. RR was going to LSU

2. Benton wanted to go to Auburn because of all of LSU WRs, but felt obligated to LSU

3. RR's dad and Miles basically covered for Benton so he he could go to AU for quick playing time and wouldn't be looked at as a turncoat in the process (a la Kenny Bell)

That's it. End of story.

me either. i feel like now that hes gotten his way, hes trying to do some PR work to smooth it over and not look as bad as it was. i have a VERY hard time believing papa randle was doing benton a favor and constructed this ellaborate plan of calling a radio station an complaining about the depth chart.

theres just too much pointing to emmitt randle looking out for his own boy, not benton. looks like a duck, walks like a duck, smells like a duck....

Just because you quoted him, doesn't mean it's not misleading.

I think I am pretty good about coming up with original insults, and most people here would agree. I just didn't feel like unloading on you over something so petty.

Respect doesnt equal winning championships. Bama fans literally cried when LSU signed Randle. I will take RR anyday over any receiver. We got a quality man that doef make the grades, unlike d.b.

ultimatum defined...

1. A final statement of terms made by one party to another.
2. A statement, especially in diplomatic negotiations, that expresses or implies the threat of serious penalties if the terms are not accepted.

you sure it was COMPLETELY out of context??

All of a sudden Emmitt loves D Benton and was "thinking" about his future too? What a bunch of fricking horseshite.

Did YOU even listen to the audio. It's clear Rueben was scared to compete with the guy that has been above him in the depth chart his entire life.

I listened. I did not get that at all. I got, "Benton needs to play. He may not play enough at LSU if RR is there."

Oh bless Emmitt Randle's heart for thinking about his son's competition.

Mr. McConathy (sp?) found out how it is for coaching-dads when kids get to LSU.
Randles pop can sit with the other parents in the stands. His kid isnt even on the depth chart yet.

All this will be forgotten when he burns two Washington Huskie chumps on a deep post for a TD in the opening game.

Maybe he should graduate high school first?
