Make whatever excuse you want, bottom line the recruiting is the worst I’ve seen since before Saban got here. Don’t want to hear your BS about NIL either… every one else has figured it out.

You really think he is going to pull some rabbits out of his hat? We have no buzz about our program and none of the top recruits appear to be seriously considering LSU. We get courtesy visits.

I’m definitely gonna bump this thread in about a week and a half after we’ve pulled in 4-5 top 150 recruits.

Why are you making things up?
We have like 4 scheduled top 200 prospects set to commit within the next 2 weeks.

Because some guys commit to schools early
Why did John Emery commit to Georgia?
Why did Jaquelin Roy decommit from LSU? (that's a different story for a different day)
Why did Harold Perkins commit to A&M and then sign with LSU?
Because they're 17 year old kids who don't know what they want. We have 6 months, and an entire football season, until signing day.
Then after that, we have 2 months to sign transfers (which we ranked at the top of last year).
Everything will fall into place.

2. BK and staff just spent all spring working the transfer portal and convincing current staff players to stay. Thinking they would come out of gates strong for 2023 is just not being realistic.
3. There were a handful of guys Fongd to lsu today that will drastically change the rankings
If December rolls around and it still looks bleak then you might have a point. Way way too early to make any kind of statements on the class.

Just because you don’t want to hear it doesn’t mean it isn’t a thing. LSU is way behind on NIL.

The issue with NIL at LSU isn’t that they don’t know how to do it. It’s that they don’t have the people with the money willing to do it.
Kelly may have to prove he can put a product that is much better than what we have seen at LSU over the last two years in order to get those people ready to go.

Bro. You have 2020 assumptions about how to recruit in 2022. It’s about filling a roster for the football season directly in front of you not stockpiling freshman all stars . I’m not saying it’s completely, but if you use the old paradigm and don’t use the portal you end up with freshman who can’t contribute. Also, it’s June. Frank and the guys did not just forget how to recruit. We will get ours, like we always do. And slow your roll for a minute and realize that how the 2022 Tigers look on the field is going to impact all these kids decisions. Kelly having them disciplined and winning on the field will pay off on signing day. The approach reflects the change in the recruiting landscape as well as a new staff with a new philosophical approach. Relax.
