That would have been good for the 15th best class in 2019, and we only have 14 commits so far.

We could be looking at the highest ranked class LSU has ever signed.

It's also April 30th. I've seen this happen too much to get excited.

They might not all stick. We know how recruiting goes. But we’ve never seen this happen. All these prolific out of state guys actually committing (no silents, leans, etc.). There is definitely something special happening right now that is unlike any other year, even if we lose a guy or two between now and signing day.

Both of these are true, imo. The only positive it gives us at the moment is it helps other out of state players start to look our way. But I certainly don't expect these two players to stay committed to LSU, history overwhelmingly shows this will probably be the case.

If you can't get excited over this kid, then why even post on a recruiting board? Makes no sense. True that some kids change their mind, but you are on a recruiting board in April and this is all you got? Really? Did you watch his film? Kid is a beast that as of now, wants to put on the purple and gold!

If you say so. It is what it is, though. Commitments mean nothing in 2019.

There are other signs to who will stick. When you have guys OOS that not only commit, but are actively recruiting others to join them at LSU that's a very good sign. Ricks has been doing it. Sampah jumped right in as well and he's also close with Jarrett so that helps. No guarantees at this point but it sure is looking good.

The majority of commitments stick. We will lose one or two, but it's still going to be an incredible class.

Can you give me an example of when this has happened before. I honestly can't think of any precedent to this.

Majority of kids are signing in December now so that's less than 8 months.

Jacobian Guillory
Max Johnson
Elias Ricks
TJ Finley
Rakim Jarret
Demouy Kennedy

The list will be updated as players in the 2020 recruiting cycle get closer to their sr year. 247 generally does a solid job w the early signers for Dec. signing period and EEs.

I agree. Way too early. You can bet on some decommits.

No it doesn’t. Contrary to popular belief, most commits do not waver. People just freak out on the ones that do.

No, it doesn't. A recruit committing to you makes a recruit much more likely to sign with you. Historically, allot of recruits commit to one school and stick to that commitment. That isn't to say they won't de-commit but to pretend it means nothing is overwhelmingly ahistorical.

The way kids are now a days it's good we had this wave of commitments because kids jump at what looks cool. So if "everyone" in the eyes of the kids are trying to go to LSU, then that attention is good for us.

Some may back out in order to put hats on the table for an audience.
