These are the guys I wish we'd always take! He may not see the field for 2+ years but you get him in the program, get him the weight room and coach him up. Then you have a physically mature guy that's received top notch coaching for several years that can compete for a spot at Junior.

This was the right move by the staff! Big Hoss from northern Louisiana should never be playing for ole frickn piss because he was absolutely going to be one of those guys we sat down the road. “Why didn’t we recruit and get this guy on board”. Love that the staff is paying attention to these dudes from Louisiana that just aren’t ranked properly. Frick those rankings. Dudes going to mow some boys the frick down.

This dude looks like a lineman that Michigan, Notre Dame or Wisconsin usually gets. Rated way to low and has really good foot work from videos I saw. Great pickup.

No, and the age isn't right for him to be a grandson. Might be a nephew.

Charlie Cryer is his uncle.

Y’all treating him like a charity case. Dude hasn’t even played his Sr year.

There are 4 types of recruit offers

1 can’t miss stud Soph or Jr
2 summer between Jr-Sr year
3 Senior offers in season
4 late bloomer / class filler before signing day

Stop looking at star ratings right now. For heaven’s sake

I’m not an expert on recruiting OL, so maybe someone can tell me if I’m correct in noticing the current OL recruits seem to be taller and leaner?

Definitely leaner, especially recruits at the interior oline spots.
