sabun is such a piece of garbage . He is a master salesman with no morality. That they actually lose games at time with that roster is a statement about his coaching abilities or lack of. If he ever had to work with a normal roster he wouldn't win shite.

Come on man you seriously can't be saying that Saban isn't a good coach. This is one of the stupidest things I've read on here. Yeah it sucks that they are so good but they are that good because of Saban. He won a title here in 3 years when LSU wasn't anything like it is today. It takes talent and coaching to win titles, they are both equally important.

Hate to break it to you but the vast majority of recruiting in major college football is dirty. We don't have a saint running our program either. O was always labeled as a dirty recruiter by many on this very board before he came here and the book Meat Market sheds some light on it. I'm sure some are dirtier than others but what's the difference in the end?

Saban thinks he can control these kids' minds just because he wins championships. He's probably irritated that he had two kids flip on him and that he finished 7th instead of his usual first in recruiting.

All good things eventually come to an end. His day will come.

All he has to do is show the fans hatred for O on this board. Absolutely no support. Just a bunch of bitchin and moaning. Never seen so much "fans" wish for their own team to do bad. Saban is a problem for every program not just ours. Talk about all the great talent and potential. Not this board. Sky's falling. Blame O for any and everything. Baseball team loses. Sorry arse O cost us the game. I bleed purple and gold and the head coach doesn't and will never change that in any sport.

It's good marketing. In fact it's perfect marketing for recruiting:
A) plants a seed of doubt

B) yeah it's cocky, so are your atheletes. Even more so the 4* & 5*- it's 'relatable', not off-putting

C) want to talk about 'showing love'? That's it. No matter what they do over the next couple of months that will be in Kardell's head. There is ZERO doubt in Kardell's head now, and forever, where he stands with Bama.

D) because of (c), every contact between Bama and Kardell is enhanced. The forcefulness/cockiness is a force multiplier.

It's easy to counter. We have the advantage in being the front runner. Just tell him repeatedly both we are NOT going to let him flip (unenforceable, but just as cocky) and that he is THE man for the 2019 class AND because of both, there's 26 other guys depending on him. So we've countered with cocky/arrogance, appeal to the competiveness, and created some peer pressure + dependency (people are relying on him).

I think that last one is a common mistake schools, LSU and others, make regarding those top 20 -32 recruits. Don't package them with a teammate (e.g. Rogers & Marshall), it's not a new relationship. Have your 3* and 4*'s recruit the 5*. The tendency is to make them feel special and put them somewhat on an island. The coaches are risk adverse and want to limit the contact to player-hosts and Staff. You want to create a relationship another school can't attack with negative recruiting, then a Surtain should be in contact with 2 or 3 DL recruits (a CB's best friend) and a LB or 2. Recruits, not players.
