O should start looking for another recruit. If Saban said he will flip him, you can bet you arse he will be in a Bama uniform. O should actually thank Saban for at least giving him a warning that he will lose a recruit. This gives O plenty of time to look for a replacement.

I think we are all missing what is Saban's very skillful approach: he actually plays to the selfishness of the players. The Surtain kid wants the glory...it's not about the team, his family, or the state in which he resides...it's about himself. Saban is able to use the selfishness of the young players (& so many are never team oriented) as a tool to fill their minds with the inevitable glory that will come to them as individuals when they hoist the trophy on national tv. If Kardell maintains his team first approach, he won't be changed by the individual glory Saban offers. It takes real team character on the part of a young person not to fall for the glory Saban offers to these young guys. Saban doesn't build teams - he builds machines whose parts are made up of giant egos. It works for championships, but seldom builds character in the young men.
