If we get our shite together with NIL and start paying for our talent, we’ll be fine. Haven’t seen that yet though…

It’s nice that all the guys we signed turned down all that money to play for us for free.

Makes me yearn for the days when no one was paid and we were able to compete by being a plucky underdog.

Is Frank the highest paid recruiter in the nation?

I heard that next year recruits won't care that Bama and Texas a&m are offering them way more than LSU could ever think of offering them. It's a new breed coming out next year that doesn't care about money and will come to LSU because of the Love of the game

Why do Bama and A&M not have far better facilities and larger budgets for coaching salaries if they are rolling in so much money that LSU can’t compete?

Frankly I’m pretty happy with the quality of players we were able to sign.

They’re not the best as far as stars, but every single one I’ve seen or heard interviewed has a great attitude. I cheer for guys like these on teams I don’t even like.

I’m skeptical of this too. A&M has only recently pretended to be a big fish, and people are acting like they’re some blue blood for generations.

Recruiting is a thing of the pass just like your home phone . All you need is one visit a week before signing day to settle on a price and out bid the competition .

I think the stadium will be packed with older fans who hated watching Miles try to manage a game and then were beyond belief when we settled with O. Who knows maybe this could lead to entire overhaul of the way this arse backwards state is run. not likely but one can hope

Did you take time to consider that we have heavy bidders to the east and to the west cherry picking the state?

This isn’t new it’s just out in the open now. People have always tried to come into LA and get players because there is so much talent and most years LSU keeps the best players home.

Problem is, next year doesn’t seem like a particularly strong year for louisiana high school senior class relative to other years.

There's already 17 4-star or better kids on the 247 composite. There's PLENTY of talent in the state next year. That's one of the deepest years I can even find in terms of 4-star+ talent in the state. For reference, 2022 was 16 4-star or better and 2021 was 11 4-star or better.

one OL in Heard even though listed at DL and the first DL is ranked 324th in the country

2 LBs but both are mlb - no edge rushers at all

Good year for top end WR and for DBs

The facts do not support this conjecture. Only a very small fraction of committed players flipped in the last week and pretty much none signed with a team that wasn’t in hot pursuit of him all along (unless they followed a coach to a new school like DeColdest Crawford). If what you are claiming were really true, there should have been a flood of last second flips to schools that weren’t even on the radar.
